First loss but :
- Latvia put more effort
- Latvia was at home
- Latvia went on with a 2-3 zone defense
- Latvia was all inside (look at the ratings)
- Latvia scored 38 points with free-throws (while Malaysia scored only 13 points on the line)

...and they won only by 10. They did what they had to do to keep their hopes for a qualification. Congratulations to them for doing the job but they did not impress me, we were a lot more impressive. Our last game will be against Netherlands, an undefeated team thanks to a very good schedule, the strongest team they faced was Indonesia and their WR #46. They will play without any pressure while we will have to win to qualify.

What a funny draw! We will play against... Netherlands for the second time in a row.

Singapore managed to finish #9 but they will face Germany. Switzerland will play against China, Philippines against Israel, Australia against Latvia and Hong Kong against Portugal. There could be quite a few Asian teams in the next round, let's hope Malaysia will be part of it.

I was very confident at the beginning of the game. I was certain that your bigs would foul a lot and that they would get in foul trouble. Together with our more effort, which was in my view needed, because of the horrible game shape update last friday, I was confident that we would win.

Than our starting Power Forward got injured, which was our only good player that was in top game shape, I got a little bit worried. Than in the 3rd quarter in just a few minutes the score went from a small plus for us to minus 10 for us and than I got really worried. We never came back from that and you got a well deserved win.

Good luck in the next round. Another reason I played CT was that I wanted to finish withing the top 12 of European countries on the ranking list, because that would give us a more favorable draw for the groups next season.

I have been 12 seasons coach of the national Dutch team and for now I quit, some young new manager will take over, I had hoped for a sweeter end, but this was a nice game although ofcourse I wish the result would be different. Good luck the rest of the tournament and who knows we will meet again!

Congratulations to us and congratulations our opponents as well. Greece has their highest paid player (25046469) on the transfer list, it may be a good thing for us.

We are one of the 4 last Asian teams to be in the tournament as China and Singapore lost their games.
