I was young and stupid.

NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke
Charles: Penn has some good people
A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

You had an excuse. I have none. Next season I will be relegated from the NBBA because I am focusing solely on the cup and one league game a week. Bots will feel the full weight of my fury. Division IV managers will crumble to players with salaries greater than their entire teams. I will be the validictorian of summer school. NO MERCY!!!!!! NO TRAINING!!!! CUP ARMEGEDDON!!!

(pardon any mispelling of validictorian, typing this out is the closest I've ever gotten to that title)

As for PL and B3 and the effect of enthusiasm on it, sounds like a King moaning about the weight of his crown. Sorry, don't see the terrible nature of the problem.

heh. yeah, im sure thats how it comes off. but thats where you are at when you win at the d.1 level, the b3 is your next challenge. it's less about the money then it is about the challenge, as you can make a lot more money from the national cup or cleaning up in the league then the b3. (nobody from the NBBA is winning the b3 anytime in the near future, let alone getting to the final).

anyway, thats a bit off topic as its only part of the reason that tie's exist. even without international competition people will still tie, and to stay on even terms you either play along or fall behind and be pissed about it.

the "all tie all the time" or even "all normal all the time" would be the only way as a group could decide not let enthusiasm play a factor. but thats not realistic as there's no way all 16 will agree.

so if nothing changes, this enthusiasm/tie complaints/arguments will be the same in season 30 as it was in season 3.

I think it creates a great opportunity for teamwork, bitterness and rivalry to break out. Its like a "Survivor:Buzzerbeater" episode. There are alliances, fights, drama, exotic locations and the cast members that everyone else loves to hate. No change to the enthusiasm system please.

Im waiting for two "mutual TIE alliances" to fued in a league. Will the managers have a face off and snap fingers at each other? What trash will be talked? "we don't need to TIE against each other we just like seeing a larger point differential against your teams" yada yada.....

When you lose to a team you feel you should have beat it certainly does in fact create a "oh just you wait I have something for yo @$$" feeling that invigorates the competetive spirit. It is the cheap shot the refs dont see, the trash talk whispered after the dunk, the middle fingers coaches exchange when no ones looking. Take my game against the Bulls here [match=XXX] (oh wait I still don't know how to link a game, check the season 5 cup game we had) now if the subsequent trash talk didn't raise both of our enjoyment levels in this game I just dont know what fun is anymore!

I work at an urban all-girls public high school. The last thing I need is more drama.

Brian, I think you are a victem of your own success. You don't have games where you feel the cold prick of defeat against an inferior opponent. If you do they don't even speak english so you lose out on the "F me? no no no, F U!!!" that should happen after that occurs. I really do think it would do you a world of good. We can't have the Jordan of Buzzerbeater fire go out now can we? Where would the world be if we didn't get to see him go after Craig Ehlo like the pasty fabio look alike knew how to play basketball? I promise to crunch time you if you havent lost by the time we meet up, it really will be for your own good!
