Excuse my ignorance but the question is in a similar vein as this thread. I cant remember if players can change position during the season through training or if this happens between seasons?

E.g. If I am training young potential SF's who are listed as SG's and they are close to changing to SF's how can I determine how close they are to changing i.e. what skills will tip them into SF and vice versa for other positions C to PF etc. I know buzzer-manager will give you a salary based on position but where can I find out what skills are required to to determine a position. It would be handy to know as towards the end of the season I may adjust my training so that a player will fit into a certain category. Meaning if my C needed 3 more pops in JS to become a PF I may adjust his training if it means I will pay less salary for the entire next season.

Hope this makes sense.

A player's position can change during the season (though obviously his wage doesn't change). Position is determined by whichever position gives the highest wage I believe. So it's not possible to manipulate position to give a lower wage.

Not sure about that. I trained up Dan Gardner's OD and PA and he switched from a C to a PF a season or two ago - but the salary calculator says that he'd have a way higher salary if he was a C.

Depends which salary calculator you have been using. Most are outdated.
