From my experience his training was slowed, but not too much so he didnt hit the cap (the way you describe it in another thread).

The slower training is likely due to age. When he takes 6 weeks to pop, I would appreciate it if you could contact me with his skills. I could use him in the model.

Inside Shot: proficient Inside Def.: marvelous
Rebounding: phenomenal Shot Blocking: awful
Stamina: average Free Throw: inept

No, in my current model and with only starter potential this guy would have capped a long time before this, just due to the 15/18 ID/RB. Now if you swapped the RB and shot blocking and ID with IS, you might be on to something.

I might have made some misstake here but to me it looks like you need more data to improve the model.

I completely agree with that statement and I think it is pretty much what I said above. Like I said, sharing the info is just for fun at this stage and should not be taken seriously.

Do you have the stats of this dude? (2402564)
Pure insideshot created that salary?

I received a reply from the owner regarding his current skills. If I were a betting man, I would bet that he received a lot of training after capping. In any case, he just bought him and has no idea how he was trained. So he is not really useful for this exercise.

I have not trained him in several seasons and will not start doing so now, so he will never contribute to your database. I just put him there to show that there must be a flaw in the quoted statement.

I had him pop in JS when he was 20 then I gave him 2 trainings JS, 6 IS and 3 1on1, the pop before took 1 JS, 1 JR and 3 1on1 I thought that was a steep increase but it might be the year difference. He also had 6 trainings in RB without a pop, but 3 of them was not ful minutes (the pop before was 3 trainings for one pop). So the data is not good but to me it looks like its somewhat slowed.

Let me see if I understand. After his last jump shot pop, you gave him 2 weeks jump shot, 6 weeks of inside shot then 3 weeks 1 on 1 training at 20 and did not get a pop? If so, it is pretty safe to say he was capped. I would not expect that much of a decrease in training from 19 to 20. Even if you mean he was 21, that is really slow training.

If this is what you are saying, I think it is pretty safe for me to use his data.

Almost right. He did pop at 20, then I gave him "2 weeks jump shot, 6 weeks of inside shot then 3 weeks 1 on 1 training" and then he poped again. I dont have the data on this computer but if I remember correctly the JS-training was still at 20y then 6 IS and 3 1on1 at 21y.

I have a Star player who should be capping next season, would you like his info when he does?

I will take any and all info. for this study whenever I can get it. I do not think I am going to solve this any time soon, without a lot more data. Let me know when he caps.

I suspect that he probably capped in the middle of this training. Two weeks of JS should have brought him close to a pop, then the 3 weeks 1on1 should have finished it, even with his age and height (not to mention the 6 IS). Did he pop in IS during those 6 weeks?

Alright, will tell you when he hits his wall. Will probably be training OD the rest of the way so that will test the OD not contributing your current info is pointing to.

Yes twice actually, on the first and fifth.

Any news? I read that you are quite confident that sublevels exist? Any thoughts about if its one formula for potential or five different like for salary?

To me it seems like (without having any data at all) the potential formula must be quite similar to the salary.
