part of it was 2 crappy scrub players subbed in for all of the 4th, which lowered the ratings.

though, even with the perfect call on the tactics not sure how that was such a lopsided victory. Without knowing the final score, figure that a win at all would be a great result for me.

Point of clarification..... I TIE all the time. I just don't announce it prior to the match very often and usually don't agree to TIE ahead of time (there have been exceptions)

There is nothing worse than losing and it stinks even more when you didn't even try. That said, I am understanding why it's done as a necessary evil of the game.

I really wish it never existed or the penalties were substancially greater.

I'd happily never mutual TIE again if everyone else also agreed. But, that will never happen, and anyone in PL's or B3 will have to play teams that are mutual tie'ing and/or from really crappy divisions in which you can tie and still blow your opponent out.

All for a league-wide "TIE every game" agreement. No hemming and hawing over the enthusiasm choice, everyone's on the same level. But, that's probably not very realistic either.

If enthusiasm were out I'd be 3-1 atm, so I fully endorse the idea.....well not so much. Theres more scouting and trying to read an opponent and how much your game with them means to them with the current set up. Mutual TIEs especially amongst long time league mates is a pain but its not insurmountable. The CT Normal TIE deal adds fun to me. I can CT and knock off just about anyone in the country but its gonna cost me, so how much is that game worth to me really?

As for PL and B3 and the effect of enthusiasm on it, sounds like a King moaning about the weight of his crown. Sorry, don't see the terrible nature of the problem. ;) "But I have my highly prestigious additional money making game I have to prepare for, I can't not ask people to mutual TIE dontcha know?!?! I must make as much bonus money as possible! Haven't you seen my weekly salary!?! Don't you know what the insurance on a Ferrari costs?!"

Not that Im bitter about probably being the only team in any countrys top division to lose in the first round of its countrys cup. Ever. To a bot. Or getting knocked off at home by a team bound and determined to burn his enthusiasm up on normalizing till he starts getting clobbered by playing with a 5 enthusiasm vs a 12. Especially when the game rating suggest I should have beaten his team to a pulp. Nooooooo!

Im just a happy manager, happ happ happy and none to angry or bitter or venemous in my forum responses........... ;)

BTW FYI:Digging for Change still sucks.

You had an excuse. I have none. Next season I will be relegated from the NBBA because I am focusing solely on the cup and one league game a week. Bots will feel the full weight of my fury. Division IV managers will crumble to players with salaries greater than their entire teams. I will be the validictorian of summer school. NO MERCY!!!!!! NO TRAINING!!!! CUP ARMEGEDDON!!!

(pardon any mispelling of validictorian, typing this out is the closest I've ever gotten to that title)

heh. yeah, im sure thats how it comes off. but thats where you are at when you win at the d.1 level, the b3 is your next challenge. it's less about the money then it is about the challenge, as you can make a lot more money from the national cup or cleaning up in the league then the b3. (nobody from the NBBA is winning the b3 anytime in the near future, let alone getting to the final).

anyway, thats a bit off topic as its only part of the reason that tie's exist. even without international competition people will still tie, and to stay on even terms you either play along or fall behind and be pissed about it.

the "all tie all the time" or even "all normal all the time" would be the only way as a group could decide not let enthusiasm play a factor. but thats not realistic as there's no way all 16 will agree.

so if nothing changes, this enthusiasm/tie complaints/arguments will be the same in season 30 as it was in season 3.
