Yes, but I think his point was that it was unfair on managers who have the already capped players because it will now take longer to train them for yourself if you don't have any. However that's only true in primary skills, those players lack in secondaries that they will also need to compete with the future capped players with better secondaries.
But if my SG has 17 OD and 6 IS, I think he's better than your SG with 18 JR and 5 ID. Just my opinion.
How would that make him better? IS is almost entirely useless for shooting guards in most offenses. I mean, maybe if you run PTB....ID is at least somewhat useful.
And to suggest that players that have better secondaries are going to be better than players with better primaries is ridiculous. Especially when it's a TEN PERCENT decrease. TEN...that's not a little amount
Say you have a training speed of .4 that's three weeks + some sublevel in the old seasons. Now it's going to .36 which is 4 weeks. Awesome.
And yeah.....a dude with 18 JS 17 OD and good primaries is going to beat a guy with 16JS 15OD but 8 shotblocking! The shotblocking is the great equalizer people! OR 8 IS...which is also (not) awesome for shooting guards.
