I think that it's more dependant on the type of offense. Statistics seem to indicate that driving is more useful in a look inside offense than a motion offense for example. Driving for a look inside i'd want pretty high, but for a full time outside based offense i think i would probably go 3-4 DR less as my requirement.

a 2 in DR is no good in either scenario obviously, he'd need training.

PA isn't a secondary of 1v1 training at all, so that was a CT pop.

Yeah, the only surefire way to get a PA pop is to train it. If you get a PA pop while training anything else, it is a cross-training pop like darky said.

Thank You..By the way. What is considered "Cross Training"?? Would it be team train game shape or stamina training??

I can't find the quote, so hopefully someone comes along and posts it here, but the basic idea was to make more well-rounded players and to limit the amount of high salary, monoskilled bigs with terrible subs. For whatever a player has been trained in, 90% of the training goes to that skill, and the other 10% goes to another skill. For example, if Player A is trained in PA, 90% of the training goes to PA, and the other 10% goes to something else. Or if Player B is trained in Stamina or FTs, they may get a pop in a different skill because the 10% went to that skill. As far as I know, it can come from training anything.

Something different entirely, actually. Cross-training is a portion of your chosen training regime (~10%) that is randomly given to other skills, which occasionally results in a pop. It's not discussed in the Manual yet (or the FAQ (I had to perform a forum search to find an official quote on the subject), which is sad, since it was implemented in season 17.

From the season 17 News post:
As announced previously, during this offseason, all of BuzzerBeater’s trainers have been studying hard at BuzzerBeater University, getting their Ph.D.s in cross-training. As a result, they expect to produce more well rounded athletes. In the past, coaches would teach a new skill (such as driving) using related things players already knew how to do (such as handling), so that players with a higher handling skill would learn driving more quickly, and players using this method to improve their driving ability would also learn better handling, at a slower rate.

With cross-training, these new techniques emphasize each skill as part of becoming a more complete basketball player, and make reference to every skill. Thus, improvement in driving is related not just to related skills (like handling), but also more weakly to unrelated skills (like shot blocking). For the average player in the game, this will result in approximately 10% slower training in their primary skill than before, and additional training in other skills approximately corresponding to that 10% loss. A particularly well-rounded player will continue to receive cross-training but will see a much lower reduction in primary skill training, while a particularly one-dimensional player will see a larger loss. Although players will always receive a set amount of cross-training, it is difficult to predict which unrelated skills will improve on a weekly basis.
