ever heard of emotionally getting attached to a player?

why do you think I charge 499000 for Noé Haesendonk ??
Because I don't want anyone to buy the guy who won me the championship last year!
This is the deal: the guy is too old to get trained (even though he still popped last week), so in my mind I know I should sell him. He is prety good, so there is no way I will fire him. He still plays in my games, and performs real well, but in my mind I know I must sell him. In my hart I don't want to loose him, so I ask a lot of money. That way I can sell him (put him up for sale), but won't loose him. See, it's all about balancing out mind and soul.
And now I must meditate.

he's not going to tell you, obviously, otherwise you would want him too, and it would cost him a ton. ;þ

Ok first, I'm a She. It doesn't matter, honestly, but every time I read one of you calling me a He, I twitched.

To answer your question, I'm brand new.. I didn't understand the game at all when I put him for sale. I read a lot and had a very nice person help me and now I understand a lot more. The guy I put for sale was one of the best players I had and I wouldn't have been able to get anything similar for what I could spend, because I'm POOR.

Either way, it doesn't matter. He sold and I didn't get him back because the bid went over what I had. Using it to buy someone new.

If you get a bid for the 499k it is likely that this will be viewed as an unreasonable bid and that the you as the selling club will have the transfer adjusted.. so just in case its probably best not to list if you feel as strongly about him as you do!

I guess it would be kinda weird if you would be attached, emotionaly, to that player after 1 week ha

But why do you think you cant buy something similar back? Even if the price is a little bit lower compared to the average market price, you can get someone back wo can fill in his place, because you would have been paid for the outgoing transfer.

well, for me he is worth 399000, so I can't see why someone buying him for that price would be deemed unreasonable... (oh, right it is 499k now, I'l get to that in a minute)
I have seen players with similar skills sell for that price, okay they are much younger, but on the court they perform equally well. If one does not plan to train centers anytime soon, he could very well use this guy, he realy performs great!

If he was not worth that much to me, I'd put him up for less!
Normally I put him up for 399000, but for several weeks he was not sold. I had another player I put of for 59k to 79k for weeks and did not sell, then I put him up for a round 100k, and poof he was gone... So I decided to ask a one time 499k to see what would happen.

sorry to hear you lost him, I hope you can get someone similar for the money you got. Or maybe you can try to make the best out of it and try to get a few good trainees for it... I'm sure the one helping you will tell you how to spend it wisely.

Also apologies for calling you a he, didn't realise it, I'll try to remember...
