My opinion on this:

The U-21 manager (you) should be able to have whatever players you want on the U-21 team without my interference. This is because any players 21 or younger I would want would most likely have a limited role on the NT, while those players would be stars on your team. In other words, it'd be less useful for me to have them than you. If anyone disagrees say so, because this is a debate thread I'm posting in ;)

i think that this is a particular version of my ideas, but you, in my opinion, underestimate a "focus".

In a small country, like central american countries, or african countries (Ghana, Bahamas, Barbados, Senegal and others) the poor activity of the managers, and the poor players pool, may have, as result, a 21yo player which is better than older players. I had explained, some post ago, which is the best solution in the case just written, and i'm sure that this is the best solution because i was a scout of Ghana U-21 team, and Ghana improved only when the NT and the U-21 coach cooperates with common decision.

Maybe, but just from a quick check the best U-21 player would be a bench player on the NT. If there was a player who would actually be just as important to either team, then I agree that he should be playing for whatever team's playing the more important games. However, just from what I've seen on Barbados right now there aren't any players like that to worry about.

there aren't really any important games 4 either team due to seasons of mismanagement

only when the new u21 coach davidm took over did things start moving in the right direction

it will take another season or 2 for the fruits of davids work to sprout and then we will have important matches

i like this line

The U-21 manager (you) should be able to have whatever players you want on the U-21 team without my interference

this guy arrogantly assumes he alseady has the job and he can read the minds of the barbados coaches

david m has done a great job & if elected i will support him 2 keep on doing exactly what he has been doing & i 4 sure wont be stealing any u21 dudes 4 the senior team

Lol, this is all a hypothetical of what'd I'd do if I was coach. I assume you're capable of realizing that, but good job finding something that technically makes me look arrogant if taken out of context I guess.

Meanwhile, you said directly from your NT speech...

"i already know i am the best candidate

now you know it too"

Yet I'm the arrogant one?

And btw, one more thing: Barbados may not have a good team right now, but that doesn't mean none of their matches are important (as you said in the first sentence of your last post).

typical political properganda, ever heard clinton or bush or obama say they werent the best candidate?

that doesn't mean none of their matches are important

obviously all matches are of importance but i dream of the day we will be on the cusp of qualifying for the world champs and have a real big game of true importance

Of course it's typical political propaganda, I would normally have no problem with it but since you were calling me arrogant I brought up the fact that what you said in that post was worse. And I agree with you on what you just said about the importance of the games, but in an earlier post you pretty much said the games aren't important until Barbados's teams get better.

Great to see so much debate. I have a question for the candidates, if you don't win will you stick around and help or will you just disappear until the next election?

Even if I don't win, I'd probably stick around and see how Barbados is doing. I was also looking for a trainee from here, but so far I haven't seen any that I like and are going for the amount I want to spend.
