I understand, but to make it more fair you could put a maxsalary for every starting 5. If not sign me up in about 10 seasons from now 😜

I mean I get your point, and as you can see, my team is not one of the most successful teams in HGL either (last season dropped out on First Round of Playoffs, and started this years´ regular season with 2-4 record) so I can sort of see your pain. It´s a slow process, and requires lot of patience. But many of us HG team managers seem to have plenty of it...
So while doing that what you suggested would help to equalize the competition, make games more equal, I´m not sure it would make them more fair though, especially if one has fully trained their own players for the full duration of their career (or at least hasn't gained major salary advantage by buying them back).
But this current HGL practice of defining HG team is in a line with
LOPO's (manager of Eliocroca CB, the creator of HG teams-listing and Homegrown teams II-thread) original definition of HG teams.
So train hard and draft wisely, and be patient. Sounds easy, yes? ;D
