Just a general question: who decides the changes that find their way into the game?

Is it Marin and some grey eminence in the background, do the (E)GMs have a word in this?

I agree!!! I too was right at the floor last season and got lucky that my trainee's salaries went up enough to put me right at the floor again this season. Nice post!!!

Salary: Are there any informations yet which B-skills have been made more revelant for the salary calculation? The way I read EGM-Fotos posts it sound as if mainly OD, PA for Bigmen and IS for Guards and SFs have been taken into account. If somebody has made some analysis on this I would be very interested in it.

C low OD, high PA, High 1on1skills, medium Range
salary was $ 85 377 before and is at $ 85 004 now.

PF with very high OD, high 1on1 Skills, medium JR, highPA
had a salary raise from $ 64 108 to $ 66 239. but he also popped in JS

Guard without PA and Range, very high OD and High IS (cookiecutter-LI guard)
from 18,4k to 19,8k

Guard with some PA, low Range, good OD and high IS
from 25,4k to 28,8k

So from my perspective it seems as if the right players very targeted with the salary raise. I also think that is not to brutal right now.

I think if OD Training for Bigs and IS Training for Guards are made a bit less attractive, it also results in more enjoyable training. We would just forgo training out of position eventually. I probably would because out of position Training ist just annoying.

Promotion/demotion: I am not really decided on this. I like a little bit more shuffling in the leagues, but it seems weird to promote while loosing the finals. It takes away the competitiveness a little bit. Why do we have PO after all. Just let the first two teams advance...

boycott: this seems weird. It would make more sense if the fans would boycott a team if it loses in a blowout more than 75% (f.e.) games of the season.

Teemo looked at that and I did too. Guards seem to range from -4% to +8%, SF seem to be affected more than guards. Big men changed less than that but you will not find big men with 18 OD so the effect is less evident.

Personally I think they increased multiple or all secondaries for all positions, but IS stands out because it's a very popular skill and you have players in the guard and SF formulas with very high IS. The fact that the SFs are the most affected makes me think that it has been a general increase in all secondaries and I wouldn't necessarily say that IS was increased more than other inside skills for guards. It just so happens that there are guards with 20 IS and 6 RB but there are no guards with 20 RB and 6 IS or 20 ID and 6 IS so it's not easy to know for sure.

But RB was part of the salary formula before. As well as JR/JR was for bigs. It would be reasonable to adjust IS, OD, PA first, without increase the effect of the other skills. But until further inquiry or some Information from the BBs it is just speculation.

The new feature which shows the salaryhistory of the last seasons might be helpful tool to analyse the changes. That would be my first step before presenting a critic on the changes made this season.

The problem is that at 7 of secondary skills there is no change. A clarification of what's been changed (not by how much just what) would be helpful.
13/3/16 16/16/11 16/16/6/4 +8.76%
17/10/18 16/18/11 15/12/7/6 +6.77%

Second Team:
Sunderland Boilermakers
From a S20 point of view almost ALL TEAMS in Germany are tanking now and since all teams are tanking you can still play competitive with very low salary teams.

I suspect this is true for many countries. Its certainly true in England, though we're smaller than Germany so not as good an example.

I fully agree with Knecht that BB is tumbling towards hyperinflation and 13M for 124 TSP sales we see theses days will be normal in a few saisons if nothing is done to prevent that. The current announcements will in my opinion result in the opposite as i estimate that the boycott and salary floor measures will be overcompensated by the additional promotion boni.

I don't think many teams will be affected by the boycott so the extra money in increased bonuses won't be lessened much.

Past history (BB intractibility) tells me that the only possibility of a change will be if the BBs decide not to give promotion bonuses to the extra promoted teams. With no bonus and no fan boost the following season, I wouldn't want to be one of those teams.

Boycott and total dislike are head to head. It's starting to be clear that a draft improvement, no matter how small, is perceived as the top change by those who voted
