After i read your post i came with some conclusions.
1) Its the perfect time to sell a player, but not to buy. Sell high, and keep u r money, when the prices will drop
Good. But, in the meanwhile, between selling high my best players and being able to buy at reasonables prices, how many series I'll drop (I.e. how much money I'll use to make my team better I'll lose?)
2)Invest on u r arena (if u can fill more sits), as from what i have understand is that the optimal arena size for 1st division teams is around the 20.000 sits. (from the beginning of the season i have spend until now like 1.7 mill on the expansion, and i still have 1.2 mil.
Good indeed. But, if I can't buy a decent players because I ain't got the money (the few I got is invested in arena improvements), who will come to see me lose any and every match?
3) Its a wise move to spend money during the middle of the season, when the changes have some stability we can have some safe conclusions about the affects of the (any changes). Looks like the most important skill that u need to have on this game to succeed, is the patience, and try to take the advantage from any situation. Indeed this season the game looks more than economist game than basketball (thats reminds me basketsim and its NOT a good sign).
Almost perfect, but for one, tiny thing. This particular changing has been done right at the middle of the season and it makes a precedent: what if next season I'm just done with some adjustments to my team (or arena) and rules will change another time? I'm with the ones that say that it's really important to keep communication up and announce
any change in rules way before it's put on.
Anyway, i will show faith to the BB, and see how those changes will affect the game on the long term. I will be supporter until next May so i guess that i can wait :)
I'm not a supporter, but I'll stick to this game too. Not because I trust so much BB's skills in planning and improving the game, but because I like to play, even if I have to fight (as a small IV serie team) againist economy and not only other players.
