Whatever, Your Essence of Knowledge.

EDIT: Frankly docend24, this is borderline offense, please respect the attempts to keep this a pleasant place and don't test limits. You expect the same from others.

I think that translation is about nuance, not literal meaning. If it wasn't, anybody could get an online translator and away they go. A translator's job is to understand the nuance and convey that. I have read different translations of the poetry of Octavio Paz and have read it in Spanish. The difference is amazing. I am not making any judgement about your work or the work of any of the LA's on this site- I think it is an admirable and unsung job that you guys do and we ALL appreciate it- just offering my opinion that the role of a translator is far more than literal meaning.

As far as the cryptosity of the BB news, I love it. It adds to the imaginary world in which my small team exists.

Actually, I have always thought that BBs make news unnecessary more difficult to translate and make the game more playable only in English without a reason. We all guess from news what the impact will be (and different people have different beliefs based on them) but keeping that (possibility to guess what BBs mean) in other language versions is inevitably more or less problematic. BBs actually help a lot to let things be lost in translation. It has to be discouraging for LAs although usual ones are overcoming that with their enthusiasm:)

Edit: I play in English (for a reason).

I am not able to comment on whether or not the game is easier in English than in Tagalog or German or Finnish because I am a native English speaker. The English news reports give vague information that are open to interpretation and encourage the user to figure things out for themselves. I find that pretty cool. I know a lot of people don't. Why is it more problematic in other languages? Is the news overly colloquial or cliched? If I were to say to a Spanish translator, "Lebron killed Pierce last time they balled," certainly a translator worth his salt would know that I meant Lebron outplayed Pierce in their last game and would know how to say so with appropriate Spanish hoops vernacular.

Guys I dont see the problem here. So many people are unhappy about the recent changes. To be fair most of those changes were announced some time ago so people shaould have prepared accordingly and the most recent changes were found neccessary in order to keep the economical balance. My point is that we all had the same information for a few seasons now and the difference is how each individual delt with the upcomming changes. We were all in the same boat the only difference is that some users might have made better choices.
It is very natural for the majority of the poeple in an organization or a society(as BB) to react negatively to change. Change brings uncertainty and poeple tend to feel disadvantageous to other users due to those changes. The fact is that change itself does not make your team less competitive. The way you deal with the changes might do that but still you can always recover. The most common problem I can see here is people complaining about the upcomming fall in prices due to the re-introduction of free agents. You spent your cash on the more expensive players and users with piles of cash have the advantage? Well that just aint true. First of all the teams with loads of cash and expensive players will ALWAYS have the advantage. Whatever happens if you got the money or the players to offload you can react better to any changes in the enviroment or the lack of changes for that matter. So if you feel that some of the recent changes hurt your team in any way, what i think you should do is try to cope with the issue the best way you get. You got some overpriced player recently? Well you can still sell him as the market aint exactly cheap yet right?

Expect the same from others Gm-kozlodoev included (he is probably the most patronizing person on boards, ask around or look how many times his posts have 1 ball rating...). I would just like if he would actually try to understand other posters' posts before replying to them and not just type his automatic "no, you are wrong" response with some aditional words around it. Is it too much to expect?

(I simply don't care about this that much so dont be afraid I would start a flamewar or whatever, I just want you to look at it from the other side - if my post was offensive then his frequentr habit of discarding ideas of other posters (including manager of top 20 teams) without a thought (i just cant believe he doesnt relaize the point all the time) is at least annoying too. Would it be ok, if I add a smiley to my post?:) )
