Sorry for keep u guys waiting ;p
The "644" continues....
Fat Alexander- SGP rank 5
After a soundly loss to Pekanbaru Jaguars on last season semifinals, Fat-A quickly put a masking tape on their lineup wounds.
They brought in a Nederlands heavyweight $300k superstar Roland Krassnitzer, and released Karel Jagannathan. The team also dealt away Zachary Kutkin, and still finding for his replacement. Expect Fat-A to hunt another elite player, as they seemed to make Gianpaolo Montecucco to come off the bench.
With Krassnitzer patrolling the middle, expect their opponent will think twice to seize their painted area. Krassnitzer has 2.2bpg last season and has blocked 6 shots on his debut against Compassvale Wang Xiangjia & Lin Baoxiang.
Offensively, Fat-A will be still Fat-A, a balanced offensive power team. With more increased inside intensity with the presence of Krassnitzer, Fat-A hardly to be missed out as a strong candidate of Great 8. Every season, they are always one of SBBL elite.
Prediction : Top 2. Game intensity is always a plus for Fat-A, which hard for them to slip off from consecutive losses.
SLZH - SGP Rank 7
The the biggest surprise on Singapore BB last season as SLZH shocked the whole Singapore Tournament, striking their way for their first ever Tournament Champs, making the history as Singapore first Division II team that won the National Tournament.
What makes this team special? No real superstar on this team. They are consist of bunch of role players that know how it takes to win game. Bela Gorboi (22.8ppg last season) resembles to Manu Ginobili, Eldegez Abilov (17ppg 6apg) is the Tony Parker there, and Leandro Perrone is their Tim Duncan.
The only thing is, the real test start again for SLZH, as they have to prove their consistency on SBBL arena to avoid a fallout like they were on 2 seasons ago.
Prediction : Top 5. Mid season could tire out SLZH squad, who often dressed 8 players only, and relied a lot on their starters.
Bobblehead - SGP rank 15
The only team that haven't made any changes on this season, which could led the team to be relegated from SBBL. Despite of the danger, this team are actually fighting hard, as they just beat out Xavis 128-127 as a visitor.
Still led by Oben Erzan (25.6ppg last season) and Bill Swain (25ppg last season), Bobblehead is relying heavily on the second best SBBL tandem after Fat-A's Yeo Tse Hui and Gian Montecucco. But Bobbleheads' bigmen revealed their weakest area there. The inexperienced George Harman and Khalifa Diouk were often pushed around by their opponents.
Prediction : 7th or 8th.
