I didn't have time to write here earlier cause I was ill few days and today it was more important to me to get all the players scouted. There are 200 players scouted now and google disc is up to date for all of you keen to know more about our national team.

More about the team?
I have to say that from season to season managers are changing opinions and training inside or outside players and we always have some positions more than others. It doesn't allow too many changes in the squad and tactics selection is also limited but let's see how the season will go...

About the draw?
This year, the competition will be kept in Singapore. We are currently ranked 58 in the World and we gonna play against:
#87 Lubnan U21
#56 Singapore U21
#23 Prathet Thai U21
#89 Saudi Arabia U21
#63 Nippon U21
#20 Taiwan U21
Looking at the ranking, we should be able to win against Lubnan and Saudi Arabia, play against Singapore (competition host) and Nippon, and try or not to try to win against Prathet Thai, and Taiwan if we will need a win to advance to the second round of competition. Everything will depend on our game shape and unfortunately, one of our 2 best players has game shape 5 now, which means we won't be able to count on him against Lubnan and that can be a problem...

Kami baru saja menyelesaikan pertandingan pertama kami di kompetisi dan kami kalah melawan Lubnan. Itu adalah pertandingan yang sulit meskipun Anda tidak akan mengatakannya jika Anda hanya melihat hasil akhirnya. Dengan semua ini dikatakan, ini adalah kekalahan yang bisa kami tanggung. Untuk melaju ke babak selanjutnya kita membutuhkan 3-4 kemenangan. China dan Lubnan tampaknya menjadi tim terbaik saat ini dan saya berharap mereka masing-masing memiliki 6 dan 5 kemenangan jadi dengan kemenangan melawan Prathet Thai, Arab Saudi, dan Nippon kami ada di sana. Jika kami menang melawan Singapura Senin depan, itu akan bagus, tapi saya pikir itu tidak penting bagi kami... Terutama karena kejuaraan ini dimainkan di Singapura...

Hi all,

We just finished our first game in the competition and we lost it against Lubnan. It was a tough game even though you won't say that if you look only at the end result. I watched the whole game, and it was 83-80 for Lubnan 1 minute and 11 seconds before the end.

I have to say that I was quite surprised by their manager playing Inside Isolation. I was looking for an outside tactic, that's why I tried to guess their focus but obviously, I made a mistake there. As I wrote in a previous post, compared to previous seasons, we now have more outside than inside players. Having Jaelani, Jean, and Iranda from the previous season in this generation would be awesome, but it is what it is and we have to play with this team...

I also want to say I am kinda happier this season cause I got 2 managers involved and in communication around training. Big thanks to Yogya Leker who even wrote to me to "remind" me I didn't set the lineup for today's game... If there are more of you wondering why I didn't, well, I was waiting to see other teams and to try to plan the whole competition at once. To calculate where we can go with less effort, what tactics to combine, and so on. And also I didn't want to let Lubnan's manager look at our roster...

With all of this being said, this is the defeat we could afford. To advance into the next round we need 3-4 wins. China and Lubnan seem to be the best teams currently and I expect them to have 6 and 5 wins respectively so with wins against Prathet Thai, Saudi Arabia, and Nippon we are there. If we win against Singapore next Monday it will be great, but I think it won't be crucial for us... Especially because this championship is played in Singapore...

If anyone of you wants to join me in all those thoughts and want to be part of the decision-making process on tactics and lineups, you are more than welcome... You can always share your thoughts about the next opponent and so on... It will be more interesting and also you will know why we played this or that, also, watching games will be more interesting to you...

Singapura adalah tuan rumah kejuaraan ini dan itulah salah satu alasan kekalahan dalam pertandingan ini.
Kami lebih baik untuk seluruh pertandingan tetapi mereka memimpin di kuarter keempat. 1,35 sampai akhir kami mencetak 2 poin untuk 84:84 dan kemudian mereka pergi 8:0 dan hanya itu. Dari sudut pandang saya, itu karena home court.

Singapore is the host of this championship and that was one of the reasons for losing this game.
We were better for the whole match but they took a lead in the fourth quarter. 1.35 until the end we scored 2 points for 84:84 and then they went 8:0 and that was it. From my point of view, it was because of the home court.
In the end, we played without our best player and we will play without him for the next 2 matches because of his injury but also because he will be out of game shape

We had 2 easy wins in the past two weeks that secured our position in the next round of competition.

It seems that the owner discontinue the Utopia team and now this guy is not receiving any minutes, therefore his game shape is awful. He probably won't get any minute this week too so we will need someone to get him and train game shape probably with a psychologist...
