I Understand that winning is fun, but so is training. I have no doubt had you kept Gray, and trained 2 others alongside him, you could have sold the 3rd trainee for a lot of money and upgraded your guard positions and be in a much better position than you are now.

As it stands, your team loses value everyday.

I don't troll forums, I just like to chat to a lot of the community.

To correct Leeroy, I am now in my 3rd consecutive season in the ABBL and had I not sold my team, I'd still be in it next season. I trained my core players in the team, and I sold off those 3 alone for $10m. Those 3, two were in the NT and they all played U21.

The key is to understand how much it actually costs to buy a championship ABBL team. It's almost $15m.

You can train an ABBL standard front/back court for less than $3m these days (to buy the trainees, or you may even be gifted one...) and then spend your remaining money on the positions you are not training.

My current situation is that I love training, so I spent $5m on some rookies this season, leaving me with a balance of $9m to relegate with and promote back to the ABBL when my trainees are ready.

I think you should just plan the next few seasons. You never really took advantage of the offsite mentoring you signed up to, because the other mentors would all recommend the same as what I am saying, which is the key to our success (we're all in the ABBL).

Of course we could just keep our mouths shut and watch everybody struggle and get ripped apart if they ever promote to the ABBL, but we don't mind being knocked off our perch if it means someone who takes our place has worked hard to learn then game and understand training.

Fair enough Iwen.

Respect all of the above.

Gray would have been a beast, i know this, but i felt promotion at the time was the right thing to do.

If my team comes tumbling down, then I will blame myself

but mate, thanks for the response and honest explanation

Yep that was it. My regular starting PG was suited up but not assigned a position, came on with 14 minutes to go and never left the court.

What should i do with training this week then? My plan was to one position train PG.

Grima 48 mins PG
Ata 48 mins PG
Schanzen 35 mins PG

Team train stamina or free throws? No other positions have more than two players playing 48 minutes.

this league is just nutz this season.. first time since i have been here that so many teams have been pushing for promotion at the same time... scary thing is, it is only gonna get harder as teams that do not promote continue to get stronger...

i am interested to see how long you can keep this up for.. by my estimates you are paying over 200k in salaries per week, and only getting 100-110k in income per home game. to me that has you losing at least 90k per week, and unless you got squillions saved, you will be bankrupt long before you promote...
