If you only have one or two decent trainees, then train just one position.
Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

On not having cash for new trainees:
Do you still have your old trainees? How old are they? (the inside based ones) If they're still youngish and at a trainable age, perhaps you could sell them. Use the money to buy older (27+ age) players to replace them, and the extra on new trainees.
My first season I trained 3 trainees, bought some cruddy players to make up numbers.
This season I sold the non local trainees and I'm training 1 from last season and 2 more local trainees (one from draft, one I bought at TL)
And I still had about 500k left over from the sales of the two players that I'm dumping into my arena.
Long winded way to suggest, if u can cash in on your old trainees who can still be trained, you might just wanna do that. : )
