OK. I basically have one SF that I can start. I have two SGs and one PF that I would like to play at SF. So I am looking for some help as to which ones work best to fill in at SF. My usual defense is 2-3 or 3-2. Sometimes m2m. Offense is mix of Look Inside or motion. So I am wondering which players would work for which offense or defense playing SF. Thanks for any advice you can give...

Player 1: SG
Game Shape: respectable
Jump Shot: average Jump Range: respectable
Outside Def.: average Handling: mediocre
Driving: average Passing: mediocre
Inside Shot: awful Inside Def.: awful
Rebounding: respectable Shot Blocking: mediocre
Stamina: inept Free Throw: average

Player 2: SG
Game Shape: respectable
Jump Shot: average Jump Range: respectable
Outside Def.: average Handling: average
Driving: mediocre Passing: mediocre
Inside Shot: atrocious Inside Def.: average
Rebounding: average Shot Blocking: respectable
Stamina: inept Free Throw: inept

Player 3: PF
Game Shape: respectable
Jump Shot: mediocre Jump Range: atrocious
Outside Def.: respectable Handling: strong
Driving: inept Passing: inept
Inside Shot: respectable Inside Def.: mediocre
Rebounding: respectable Shot Blocking: mediocre
Stamina: atrocious Free Throw: strong

this is just me

the norm for me that i allow someone to play sf is to have both inside and outside defense, then followed by rebounding then passing . this are the major pillars

then usually his offense comes next like JS and driving i wouldnt say his JR would require so much compare to the guards

others are plus if you have them like BS, inside shot etc etc

so hope it helps

It's actually common to have 2 seperate guys that you play at SF dependent on the opposition.

One would typically be good outside if you play motion, and the other inside guy would be played if you wanted to play look inside. The same is also true if you're more interested in defending them optimally.

I otfen find teams go run'n'gun 2-3 zone to strenghen thier weak area (inside) this would be the perfect time however, to play your ouside focused SF, you can defend outside better (r'n'g) and you can attack outisde against thier 2-3 zone.

SG can be for outside choice PF for the inside. Mix and match and keep your opponent guessing.
