80 draft points? That feels like an inefficient way to use them.
Personally, if I'm finishing last and want the best trainee, I use group demonstration to scout the bottom 19 talents, then single scout the other 29 individually for a total of 39 points.
I'll then double scout the 5 star draftees, which probably brings me up to around 80. The downside is I don't know their exact stats. But seriously, who cares? They're going to be dramatically changed after 10 seasons of training.
The upside is I get to double scout and know the age and potential of every single 5-ball prospect in the draft. Potential is everything. I don't care what their stats are. I care what they can be. There's a world of difference between superstar potential and HoF potential.
Make sure to know their potential before drafting them. 5/5 is fantastic, that's all you can ask for.
