Welcome one and all to Season 55 of the EBBL. First off, let me start by congratulating Vecx on winning, yet another, EBBL title and National Tournament! Commiserations go out to Hope Springs after the loss, but you've progressed nicely season upon season.
Welcome back to Bethnal Green Erks and BC Zalgiris who bounced back immediately, Bournemouth Drunkers who had a short two season spell away and Leeds City Ballers who last played EBBL fixtures back in Season 40. A big welcome to Panathinaikos Bristol who loses their EBBL virginity, it's a great challenge staying here and hopefully we see you around for many more seasons to come.
The blue side continues to look really strong on paper with Tide of Fire leading the pack and being the team to beat after the clean sweep last season. Arsenal 98, LIDLtallfellas and Optic Fibres never seem to be too far behind and will look to fill all four playoff spots for a third running season. Bromley-By-Bow and Cambois Donkeys both experienced solid enough debuts last season and will look to build on this and push for a playoff berth whilst Panathinaikos Bristol and Bethnal Green Erks will look to mimic the success of the two aforementioned teams.
The red side has definitely been the more competitive of the two divisions in recent seasons and continues to do so. The quality of the teams in increasing season upon season and with BC Zalgiris back and investing big, he looks to build on the four EBBL titles already secured. There's a big cluster of teams who could compete for the playoff spots in last seasons runner-up Hope Springs, London Whales, Durham Wasps, Stinkilemons and Los Mikitos. Gauson and Leeds City Ballers possess solid sides and will be aiming to maintain their EBBL status whilst Bournemouth Drunkers will be looking to improve on his performance a couple of seasons back.
Good luck to all sides this season! Poll as per.
Note: Just an observation but forum comments were almost half than the previous 4+ seasons so let's get back to trying to communicate and keep in touch. It's always funner when there's people to chat to.

I see you mention my team on your post.... I wish I was up there with you lot! This time I will not be able to bounce back the way I did in the past, my squad is a real mess and I do not think I have the time to re-build it. Oh well, cest la vie! Good luck to all and may the best team win!

Thank you for the compliment. It means a lot for it to come from you. After deciding to go down after only one season in the EBBL to rebuild, I tried to take inspiration from your roster. So the fact I reached the finals last season and lost out to you, I have no complaints! Congratulations! For me you're the best manager here hands down.

Hi mates, it's a pleasure to be part of EBBL for our first time. My goal is to be safe for the season and keep training.

A hearty welcome to you and the other promoted teams. Also good to see a few different names on the forum. Some of us "vets" don't post as much as we used to.

Guilty of being one of the above people ^^
Interesting EBBL day on Tuesday I thought, both 1st place teams losing, 8th and 7th on the red side both winning. Closes things up a bit on the whole which has to be good for continued interest further into the season.
I ruined my win on Tuesday but missing the deadline today. Somehow despite knowing we'd changed to 6pm as I sorted it for Tues + playing other online games where the deadline is an hour earlier this week, I somehow blanked on this today. It's only ruined my game shape, training and enthusiasm in 1 go! No big deal.
Good to see you back Erkboy, but you need a win! Suffering the dreaded fan boycott currently can't be fun :(

I’ll keep plugging away…losing the one player I couldn’t really afford to lose for 2 weeks plus further game shape hit wasn’t helpful, but at least it’s focused the mind on another relegation/promotion cycle.

Although it would appear not to be a season where I’m going to catch many breaks.
