This was posted by a GM in a Help Forum, and I thought it would come in handy to have it here. Haven't tested everything, but it's pretty accurate.

PG - Point Guard

(1) Handling, Passing
(2) Outside Def., Driving
(3) Jump Shot, Jump Range, Inside Shot

SG - Shooting Guard

(1) Jump Shot, Jump Range
(2) Handling, Passing
(3) Driving, Outside Def., Inside Shot

SF - Small Forward

(1) Jump Shot, Jump Range, Outside Def.
(2) Handling, Passing, Driving
(3) Inside Shot, Inside Def.
(4) Rebounding

PF - Power Forward

(1) Inside Shot, Inside Def.
(2) Rebounding, Shot Blocking
(3) Driving, Passing
(4) Jump Shot, Handling

C - Center

(1) Inside Shot, Inside Def., Rebounding
(2) Shot Blocking
(3) Handling, Passing

Makes team assembling a lot easier.

hi ...

i'm a coach of guards and i'm think there somethings wrong ....

for me skills for guards are these

PG - Point Guard

(1) Outside Def., Jump Shot, Passing
(2) Jump Range, Driving, Handling
(3) Inside Shot

SG - Shooting Guard

(1) Jump Shot, Jump Range, Outside Def.
(2) Driving, Passing, Handling
(3) Inside Shot

in addition to this i think that for a small foward
the skilsl depend by the tactic that you want to use

Outside defence is IMO the most important stat for PG and arguably SG.... look at my match yesterday with Maruyama.... Wenzong didnt score til the 3rd quarter (man marked by Guaqueta) Soler couldnt stop Tanazaki's shots.... (surprisingly) mind you the match up at PF confused me to say the least (i wont digress too much)

With training speeds slowing down you really have to decide who you want to get what pops now... on my guards I prioritise OD & PA... I treat JR as a bonus on a PG and I dont value (not sure if right or wrong) IS....

quote ... IS is a secondary skill for PG and SG more for SG
outside defend is also very important in small foward if you play with a 3-2 defense
