Sorry for the late game post, I was away all week end, it was not the simplest thing in the world to set the lineup on my cell =)
So a tough loss against Taiwan, my wrong GDP possibly cost us the win, but we were 20 points behind almost all game long and Jarvis got 6 fouls quite early in the game, which didn't help either.
The good thing about this loss is that we can now focus entirely on the objective of the season : bring the America's championship to Canada!
We will have a disadvantage at the group stage because we'll start with a 0-2 record, but we can make it.
This year team ressembles last year's, although we still have room for callups (only 10 players in the roster right now).
I called up youngster (-ish) Julius Bevan to take the backup SF spot (Madiar being promoted to starter SF after Hudgins long-awaited retirement from national duties). He played well yesterday, scoring 7 points in 10 minutes, we'll see how it goes.
I have other players on my shortlist for the SF spot, such as Jerome Walter and Joaquin Perez. They might get a callup depending on their GS in the next few weeks.
It is also probably the last great season for 3 of our bigs (Kearin, Nixon and Valliere). I also have 2-3 players on my shortlist to replace them (Beauchemin, Siekert, Sutter), but we will be a bit short on skillful bigs in the next few seasons.
Let's go Canada!
