This marks the end of a season. We played an agreed upon TIE (there's no added bonus by making it to the semis, only a final gives a direct qualification to the worlds), and lost fair and square.
Now we need to prepare for next season and try our best to qualify for the worlds (not an easy task at all!). If we can't make it, then the goal is to make it as far as possible in the consolation tournament order to gain homecourt advantage for S37 America's cup.
I'll be honest it won't be an easy task, two of our bigs will be 33 next season, and we don't really have two players ready to replace them. The situation is better concerning our guards, but we will be losing Hudgins little by little, and we also don't really have a player ready to take his spot yet. We'll see what comes out scouting.
AS for now I would like to thank all the managers for the great minutes management. You all have been really responsive and alert, some of you even changed their training plans to try and counter the bb gods (looking at you Yellow Cake!) and it was a pleasure to play with so many players with awesome GS.
Thank you also to all the managers of potential players that took the time to answer my bb-mail, and those of you that kept me updated with your player pops. Canada NT will have a bit of a low in 2-3 seasons (it's all relative!), but after that a great generation of players is on its way to become one of the best team in BB Canada history.
Go Canada!
