World U21 Championships Repechage group is set, and our awesome luck continues as we probably have the toughest grouping. Either 3-0 or 2-1 with some luck and point differential in our favor is required to get out of the group.

vs 5 Taiwan U21 http://www.buzzerbeater.com/country/70/jnt/overview.aspx
vs 79 Al Maghrib U21 http://www.buzzerbeater.com/country/32/jnt/overview.aspx
vs 17 Poland U21 http://www.buzzerbeater.com/country/58/jnt/overview.aspx

S35 draftees are in. I'll run NTscout tonight before any transfers can be made and possible players missed. I will contact managers of highest potential draftees first in order to make sure they get 48 minutes in Thursday's scrimmages so 1 training week is not wasted.

Please don't contact me with BBmail for now, like "I have an awesome 18 year old draftee!" etc. I'll contact you don't worry. By Thursday night I should have contacted every manager with a draftee with a shot at U21 play.

Thanks. Go Raps!

Big win today vs Taiwan (37520) 80-68. +1 GDP guess. +1 effort.

Princeton offense worked pretty good with group. Only a couple times during the game we went on some scoring droughts. Our SFs took home the MVPs with Girouard 9/17 (4/9 3s) and Guevemont 5/6 (1/2). Bacon had a rough shooting day but defensively was golden on their PG.

Would have liked to grab more rebounds so I will work on a way to improve that with our lineup going forward, balancing that with the shooting, passing, and defense.

North and South America teams go 4-0 today.

6/6 vs Al Maghrib
6/13 vs Poland

Pierre-Luc Leduc (39211222) for sale. 19yo, 6'2, HOF, 61 TSP10, could use a full season of 1v1 forwards as JS HA IS are his lowest skills, $100k bargain!

Brian Wilson (39211521) for sale. 18 yo, 6'8, ALL, 57 TSP10, only passing is below mediocre, a great U21 SF project! I will go for him with my Utopia team if there aren't any Canadians that want to train him.

Brian Wilson looks good! Good ol' Barenaked Ladies song title as well with being the co-founder of the Beach Boys! Automatic Canadian pickup in my opinion. Good Karma :)

Stephen Hall with 17 points, 13 rebounds was quite a nice double double as well in the win against Taiwan. ZZ will show up next week if GS works out. Both players at 58 mins.

Yes, I was happy with how our inside guys held up. They obviously had an advantage there and I figured they would play an inside offense. Really glad I didn't double up and go for pace because I would have got it wrong.

Two games went in our favor today.

Taiwan knocking off Poland is a huge result.

An important blowout win for us. A somewhat close first half followed by a monster 74 point second half over Al Maghrib, making the final 124-76. (37522)

Push the ball gave us great numbers across the board, with 8 players scoring in double figures. Defensively we held tough, allowing not too many points against the single hot shooter in their patient. Superb effort from the second unit in the garbage time in the 4th quarter.

MVP: everybody (team 50%+ from the field)
LVP: nobody (3 turnovers total for the game!)

Fun fact: Guevemont hacked their SG 24 seconds into the game and sent him to the hospital for the day.

The group now looks like this:

Canada 2-0 +60
Poland 1-1 +24
Taiwan 1-1 -4
Al Maghrib 0-2 -80

Showdown vs Poland next Monday. A close loss should even get us into worlds, unless Taiwan puts up an incredible game vs Al Maghrib.
