From another thread:

I was ranked second in total (arena) income - $ 3 970 241 (12000/10000/500/50)

The team that demoted from DIV I the season before made - $ 4 751 372 (17000/3100/450/45)

3rd made around 3.8 mil, 4th 3.7 mil.

--------------------------

How is it possible, that a demoted team, that should experience a harsh penalty in income, makes WAAAAAY more money on ticket revenue, than the rest of the league?

Suggestion: demoted teams should make less money from ticket sales (maybe even less than the top 3 in the new league), to increase the chances of other teams to move up in ranks.

I was absent from bb for a long time and i dont really know how much are devoted teams penalized but i strongly agree that devoted teams should be punished 'properly'.The last spot in league can grant you most of the times a really good prospect, whose value in market is ridiculously high. The randomness of draft is cool mostly but that one hot player gives unfair advantage imho.If someones wants to tank and gather money im ok with, its a kind of strategy,i also have used it but those teams shouldnt been benefited also in such a way from draft. However i cant think of a proper countermeasure.

Dude, you missed the point. People starting at the bottom will not have problems with demotion and if so, they will join a bot league most likely.

Teams that demote from higher leagues still make most money in the lower division, thats why instant repromotion is like a walk in the park.

Right now, you are not hurt by a demotion, as the income from tickets does not suffer at all. That's why I added the numbers from last season, the demoted teams sits on top by a huge margin.

Add the additional TV and merchandise money for the playoff time, plus the surplus from players sold, a demoted team has a very good chance to promote again, because it starts with a decent cash reserve. I don't have the time to dig out some stats, but I guess that a very high percentage of teams demoted (maybe this applies only for micros), promotes the very next season.
