Hi guys and welcome to the NT season 34 thread. Sorry i'm a little late with this one but better late than never. Any of you that check the NT page may have seen several changes to the roster as of this season. I have decided to incorporate the future generations so i'm pleased to welcome the following players to the roster.

Hayden Bryant- London Kings
Jeffrey Ellis- Kostolomi
Agrata Singh- M Dogs
Brian Kilgour- Catacanari Basket Club
Kevin Finlay- Pitwoos

This is the start of our new generation, i expect to see more young players hitting the scene in the coming seasons. We have some fantastic prospects being produced by several English managers and some from abroad and we're keeping in regular contact to produce the best players possible. Of course for new talent to emerge we have to say goodbye to some of the older players. This season saw the end of Shatrughan Palit's and Stuart Madelin's NT careers, both were fantastic players for us and they will be missed.

In terms of the current season, as always we'll just be looking to win as many games as possible. We're currently in an over haul of the roster with players coming in and out every season so i hope you can all remain as patient as always because i feel like we may have a new golden generation on the rise.

I hope i have your continued support through out the season and hopefully another term as i'd love to continue to work with our guys.

Hope you all have a great season, Zeus

Update from the 14/3/2016.

Nice win against Puerto Rico. We made easy work topping every Q including an impressive 38pt 3rd. Congratulations to Agrata Singh on his first NT start of his career. A more that solid outing for the young man as he scored 7 points along with 3 assists and a game high 3 steals. I expect to see him starting a lot more in the coming seasons! Also a quick shout out to Hayden Bryant who also made his first appearance coming off the bench at SG with a quiet 4 points in his 16 minutes of play. We played an impressive game with 37 assists to only 3 turnovers in the whole game! Great effort from the guys.

Nightly Notable:

Jeremy Mac- 11-19 FG/ 25 points/ 16 rebounds
Jason Fallon- 8-14 FG/ 18 points/ 9 rebounds/ 3 assists

We roll onto a home game vs Montenegro next week looking to move to 3-1.

England 80-93 Venezuela England 3-2

Tough loss in this game. Going into the game i thought they'd probably have the slight edge at home so i figured i'd take a guess with a GDP to try and swing the game in our favour. Managed to guess right and with more enthusiam too but we just couldn't pull out the W. We stayed close for the majority of the game keeping their PF and C in foul trouble for the most part. Going into the forth we managed to take a slender 5 point lead with 10 minutes to go, but unfortunately missed 10 straight shots and with 2 turnovers allowed Venezuela to pull away and take their home win to push us to 3-2. We have our hardest game of the final 3 next week at home vs Indonesia but i feel like we can win this with the home tie. My aim is for us to finish 6-2 and cement a solid ranking for the KO part of the tourney.

Hope all is well with everyone.

Zeus.

Well done for qualifying.

I don't think much of our draw though.

Thanks mate, was bitterly dissapointed at our performance last night, we needed 40/50 PD not the 20 we got to try and get a better draw. I was hoping for HCA in the first round but now we have a tough away draw....damn

I don't mean to be critical, but I am not sure Run and Gun was the best way of getting that kind of PD at NT level. Having said that, honestly I don't think any strat would have reached that, overall a good job of it and looking forward to seeing how we do in the next game.

Disappointed by today's result, even without the GDP we would have been overrun by a very strong Finnish squad. Gameshape wasn't the best for us which didn't help the team and although I may have not chosen the exact same lineup and would probably have filled the 12 spots for manager's merchandising the result would probably have been the same. Thanks for leading the team this far Zeus, did good to get to the knockouts mate.

NTs should always dress 12 players.

I've been unimpressed by the senior NT set up for a while now - poor finish to a poor campaign.

I get that our squad is unbalanced and a bit long in the tooth at times - but we're still underachieving.
I hope we have a new manager brining fresh energy to the table next season, who can protect our ranking for when some of the well coached U21s of recent vintage can break through to the senior squad.
