Hey, being a team that doesn't buy/sell, I have half a ball in:

The team manager is working hard to improve the team

This is hindering my team in terms of money income in tickets, as it affects the overall view of my fans.
Would it be possible to make adjustments to the criteria for this fan survey point, adding indeed importance to something as "homegrown players as starters"?

I'm in the same boat (never buy, although I do sell) with my Utopia Team, but somehow I'm at 2.5 balls on the 'Improve the Team' category.
I've gotten as high as three before. I think that it corresponded to when I started winning more games, but I'm not certain.

Strangely, I only have four balls in the 'I'm not afraid they'll transfer our star players' category, even though I never transfer players unless they have been pushed to the end of my bench and never play any minutes.

"I'm not afraid they will be transferred"

and

"working hard to improve the team"

in the fan survey are never both above 4 balls from what I've seen and understood. Generally my "not afraid they will be transferred" is around 1-2 balls and "improve the team" is 4+ balls. Went and kept the same team for a couple seasons and it flipped a little bit. Never have I ever had 4+ balls in both though. I like your idea for altering the fan survey points slightly, but I honestly don't think it is as big of a deal, because every manager is dealing with this type of fan survey.

Yeah, thanks. I also understand both aspects as the two sides of the same coin.
However, being homegrown team a choice, I feel I just cannot do anything else "to improve the team" because I don't buy/sell, and permanently having 0.5 a ball feels like a immovable consequence.

But I do since I need to draft this or that height depending on the training cycle or thoroughly choosing this or that training in the short and long run, after analysing all the options.
So my point is to adjust the parameters of the "working hard" to a more accurate definition.

I hope it makes sense : )

I have a lvl 1 PR manager, I have always had 0 players of my nationality and I have no idea how the "star players" and "working hard" categories work. Traditionally "working hard" has been always over 4 balls and "star player" has been less than 2: it only started to be decent after 4-5 seasons when my main trainee has become one of the best players on my team (possibly the best at the moment).
