Did you fire the first doctor and have a level 1 guy for a bit?

When I played in the past, when changing doctors I would fire him before the financial update and have a level 1 guy for a day or two before buying someone new. And I experienced these same injuries the OP reported. So I started finding immediate replacements without firing anyone and didn't see any more of these injuries.

So maybe the doctor has an effect leading up to games? I don't know.

I have had that same suspicion myself. Then I checked the code and saw that there is no way it could influence injuries in matches. I guess we just get a bit more aware of injuries after changing doctors, I don't know.... Or there's some dark magic in play
