Hey guys,

So, long story short, I seem to remember players not getting full minutes in a walkover, and hurting training purposes, but I haven't had this issue come up since before I took a hiatus from the game, some time around Season 14, and I don't know if the same applies now, or if things have changed, so I wanted to present it to the experts (you guys) for answers.

Long story short, I've got a walkover this week for certain. However, for training purposes, if I do 2-position training, will I be able to manipulate my trainees into full minutes? Basically, what I'm asking, is will one of these tactics for training work to get my full minutes for 2 Pos. training?

PLAN A
Pos. --- Starter --- Backup --- Reserve
PG --- Pl. A --- Pl. A --- Pl. A
SG --- Pl. B --- Pl. B --- Pl. B

PLAN B
Pos. --- Starter --- Backup --- Reserve
PG --- Pl. A --- Pl. B --- Pl. A
SG --- Pl. B --- Pl. A --- Pl. B

PLAN C
Pos. --- Starter --- Backup --- Reserve
PG --- Pl. A --- Pl. B --- Pl. B
SG --- Pl. B --- Pl. A --- Pl. A

PLAN D
Pos. --- Starter --- Backup --- Reserve
PG --- Pl. A --- Pl. A --- Pl. B
SG --- Pl. B --- Pl. B --- Pl. A

The way it works is that if a player is listed as a starter (at any position) and also a backup (at any position), that player loses 5 minutes. You can actually get a single player over 48 minutes if they start in one position and backup two others, but in terms of training, there's really no way to leverage that effectively to do what you want to do unless you're training three positions. For example, if you were doing pressure for PG/SG/SF, the following scheme would get players A and B 48+ minutes in the three training positions, while the other player would get 36 minutes:

PG: A-A-B
SG: B -A-B
SF: C-B-B

(A would have 53 minutes, B would have 49).

That almost certainly isn't what you're looking to do, though. What I can say is any of the four plans you listed will result in A and B both receiving 43 minutes. Walkovers do suck.

Really appreciate the prompt responses, guys! @Hrudley,I think I'm just gonna go ahead and try one of my ideas using guys I don't care about full training on (basically, some of my everyday guys I'm putting in the training rotation for the hell of it), and just put my two remaining trainees as PG/SG in my scrimmage this week, assuming I get one lined up correctly. I'll update with the results and the strategy I used, in case it somehow does work.
