After a few seasons of cruizing in Devision 3 I suddenly got a boost of energy and interest and my goal is to be the first Israeli to win the B3.

I've been watching all the teams that made it and tried to figuere ouy what the done right. meanwhile I realized what I've done wrong.

first thing I've done is built and rebilt my arena and right now I have the biggest Arena in Israel with 25K seats. secondly, I'me not repeating the mistakes I made in the past in the Transfer List. But there are still a few questions I have that I will be happy if you help me figuere out the right answers for:

1. looking at the big 4 that reached the B3 semis their arenas are around 21k. why not bigger? at their level they can make much more money for a fact. yes it will take time to get back the money invested but for the long run it's much smarter.

2. same big 4, now looking at their Transfer History. the one from china is +26M, which is by far the most I've seen in TH. It can mean he has a lot of cash right now or it means he lost a lot for bad economy. Mloty and KK are -12M and -18M, which is the most common I see in big teams, and I think it stands for good economy, correct me if I'm wrong. KS has an almost even TH, Like my team, which means I think a rocky start then some good season in the economy.

3. the salaries for the big 4 are 1M, 850K, 1.1M, and 1M; The arena recipts are around 600K; the cup games puts 50k and the B3 game puts 20k, of course not in the later rounds. let's say they get from the TV+merchendise-staff= 150K, again correct me... It seems to me that in order to win the B3 you have to lose money, and if you don't get to the later rounds you lose alot. is there a way to win the game without saving a few mills before?

what do you think?

1. There is a soft cap in the arena, so building more than 21k seats it's a waste of money.
3. You usually lose money if you want to win the B3 or any other competitive league.

you are wrong about waste of money. if you lower the prices and you have more room you make more money for a fact

In BB there is a softcap in the arena, which means getting more than 20-21k people in the arena is increasingly difficult. You can make +40k seats http://www.buzzerbeater.com/community/forum/read.aspx?thr..., but you are not going to sell them.
By the way, 25k is already a bit too much in my opinion.

Edit.: checking your arena you have 23k, not the 25k you said. Thats the max. number of spectators I have seen in a game for a B3 team, so you are now at the maximum reasonable number of seats, in my opinion.

The maximum amount of seats you can sell is 19k. After that, you can't sell all seats.

At 21k, you can sell 20k

And then the number of wasted seats increases dramatically

At the maximum arena 40k, you can sell about 24k seats. Check B3 high rounds.

So it does make some sense to build up your arena to maximum, but it's not enough, in my opinion. I simply don't want to have a half filled arena, I'm fine with my 20550 arena being almost sold out. If I improve it more, it will kill a bit of realism of the game.

To answer your question about winning B3, the magical formula is to pile up enormous amount of cash. It has been done in the past by some micronation teams, example Iran's Venomous Scorpions. He collected cash for ten seasons or so, then made a huge payroll roster, which was maintainable for 1 season. He repeated the process twice so far.

But after they introduced the over-extension tax, it has become almost impossible. The new thing is similar, pile up cash, but instead of buying huge salary players, you need to buy huge value salary efficient players.

Also, take notice that this method doesn't necessarily work, example San Lorenzo something few season ago, and hopelessly addicted this season. But it does give you a chance.

There are 2000 more bleachers on the way right now.
I will see how it works when I'll reach the premier league...

Because I saw an example that contradicts your answers. I will not add more seats because of you're advices, but I still want to see it for my own eyes...
