Well, it's done! Im the new Morocco national coach and im proud of it!

Thank you from the deep of my hearth to all 6 voters. I hope to see them all active in the forums and cooperating with the national teams.

Now i start to analyse the team roster:

We have 2 strong players, a Center and a Guard, they are at the level or the national players of other national teams. Than we have some medium level players in the other spots but the team have a big problem: we don't have any good playmaker.

The primary skill of a playmaker is "passing". None of our playmakers have enough pass skills to compete in a national team. They have good shoot and good defence, but absolutely not pass skills. The main objective of the under 21 coach is to find a good very young playmaker with high potential...and try to send him to a team that can really grow up him. If not, the national team will never be really competitive.

I promoted a young Center from the under21 team of the last year. He was the best player of the under21 but he is still nor ready for the senior team. I hope that his coach will continue to train him properly.

About the Continental Tournament: We are still the worse team together with the Nigeria.
Cause the playmaker problem... and cause we don't have new stronger players to add to the team.
I hope to have a couple of friendly games to test my team but... i don't have them. I will start the tournament without have an idea or the stats of the team. And the first match it is quite important. South Africa is stronger than us but i hope that we can try to play a good match.

I will try to obtain the qualification to the Pool B, but we need at least 2 victories. And to obtain it i need no injuries and players with high form.

As conclusion we have to work to:

1) Try to qualify the team to the Continental Pool B
2) Start to FIND, to train and to grow up a Playmaker and other players for the future senior national teams.

For any question or advices, ask me ;) Im at your service.

Thank you again to all!
Dario

VERY disapponted by the form of the most of the first line national players!
South Africa had only positive form changes and this will help MUCH them in monday match.

I've wrote to the owners of our bad form national players, inviting them to let their players to play no more than 90 minutes during the week OR... their players will be banned from the national team. Cause a player with less than 7 in form... can have the strongest skills, but the bad form erase completly their value.

Is it possible that South Africa player's owners know better how to train and "preserve" their national players?

Hi !
It is more than possible, it is sure that S-Africa player owners manage better their players' minutes. They only have 7 & 8 GS (regardless to the injured ones)...
I guess you will have some "hard" (difficult) decisions to make, and I do believe that you'll do it the right way since you seem to be honest and realistic.
I wish you good luck coach !

hey, welcome

Honestly i had quite clear ideas to how to organize next match and the whole tournament. But the form status of my best players will makes thing harder (and they were not absolutely "easy" before this form downgrade).

If you look the form of the other teams of our tournament... you will notice that the stronger teams (misr, ghana, al jazair), have all players with good form. Only the weaker teams had some problems like us.

Now im here to TRY to make this team better, or at least to work on two different sides:

1) future: start to convince active morocco players to search the higher potential draft players and to start to train them properly OR to sell them to someone that will prepare them for the future national teams. Why? Cause our only high level players (only 3/4 of them) are.... oldjes! and EVERY week they are losing some skills. and the 23/27 yr old players are WEAKs! And with not enough potential to continue to grow. So in next season the Morocco National Team will be more and more "poor" than the actual one. So im trying to start from the 18/19 players... to give a younger future to the team. I will appreciate much the help of Al Magrib and Mellal too but they... seems not interested.

2) Present: it means weekly matches, form upgrades and downgrades, tactics, injuries... But while injuries are impossible to prevent, form it is VERY EASY to control. In need just enough serious coaches. IM SURE that the team have still the potential to be promoted in continental POOL B. BUT it will happen only if i will have my players at their best conditions.

I take this "national team work" seriously. Probably more seriously than all the last coaches. For this reason im honestly angry about the form status problem

Hi !
For the form status, I hope the managers will hear your plea. And IMO it is a good compromise to accept keeping a good form in exchange of having a NT in their roster. I'm quite sure their "internal" troubles (championship, cup) can be managed with some adjustments so everybody gets his goals achieved. Anyway, good luck and keep on ! At least you have my support as a Morrocan citizen (living abroad) ! :°)

For the renewal of the NT, you pointed it right : there will be a gap with no competitive players during several seasons. There "should" be some kind of lobbying action in order to make morrocan managers spend draft points and develop / resell the interesting draftees.
Selling draftees is a quite rapid issue : It is only a matter of profitability in the selling price / draft points.
Keeping them (which is more interesting IMO), with the importance of merchandise revenue for homegrown players, and developping them in a "right way" (compromise between NT needs and managers needs) needs a stable organisation (stable in a long term time) of supervising and experienced managers, not involved in the NT process (chosing players etc etc). ...
But even with that kind of help, if the Morrocan managers are not involved ... it will be hard to achieve ...
I've been throwing bottles into the sea for 2-3 seasons, giving advices, suggesting help ... no answer :/

So maybe, in order not to spend too much energy and involvement in something that nobody hears/wants/sees, a lobby action inviting morrocan managers to spend draft points and resell the draftees to other interested managers (who develop youngsters) would be good solution to avoid a long gap of competitiveness ...

Yeah! Piece of cake!

Im joking, it was a very important but hard match. South Africa had better players and with higher form than us. But quite every other national team it is better than Morocco... so every match it is a fight.

Now next three matches are quite impossible, so no one have to image an our win in them. Misr it is one of the best national teams of the game. Ghana it is a good team and have the home advantage bonus (all tournament matches are played in ghana).

We have to gain at least 2 wins in Pool A tournament to be qualified in Pool B. But with 3 wins...i will be more happy.
