Quick question, is a player with a 5 ball star rating and 4 ball potential better, or a 4 ball star rating with 5 ball potential. (The best draftee I have found at the moment is 4 ball star rating with 5 ball potential, is that really good?)

the 4 ball 5 potential is better than the 5/4

Even if theres 1000ish salary difference originally between the 2... the 5 ball potential guy could be an ATG where the 4 ball potential guy is either PA or SS for sure.

The 5 ball potential guy is 6 foot 5 for a SG, will that make him train a lot slower?

I haven't trained guards in a while, but I don't think it will train that much slower. 6'5 is a good height for an outside based SF. Also it will help train IS train faster, which is in vogue right now: guards with high IS.

Edit: typo

The position only affects his starting stats, this means that stuff like jump shot and jump range are going to be higher than the other stats. So if you see like a 7'0" player listed as a PG it just means his passing and handling and stuff will start higher than his inside stats. If you search the TL for Centers under 6'6" you'll see what I mean. The position will change as the attributes change if you train them enough.

actually i prefer that player is set on "wrong" position,in most cases there is almost no need to train secondary skills and you get pops faster ;)

I'm looking for similar players in the draft. I feel if I can find a 7'0" PG or SG, then he'll fit right in with my other 7 footer that I've been working on secondaries for all this season. That way when I want to switch over to primaries I don't have to worry about changing too early or having to choose between which trainee I want to screw up.
