I know I've read this in the Game Manual somewhere before, but I can't remember what section. If someone could link me to the section on how long a season is, or just tell me in here, that would be great. Thanks.

It includes it. 11 regular season weeks (2 games per week X 11 weeks = your 22 regular season games) and then 3 weeks for the playoffs.
