Is it possible to bid a player with money exceeding the current cash available? Example if I have 1k money and I bid 2k on a player, which lands me 1 k in debt.

You can't bid on a player with more money than you have available. If you try to bid on a player for more than you actually have, a message pops up saying, "You don't have enough money to make that bid!"

Debt is I think the only way you can lose at buzzerbeater... be careful with that word. I'd think you were from the U.S.A with all that debt talk :-)

No you can't bid more money than you have available, but you can end up in debt temporarily after a bid. For example, you have a player on sale and someone bid $100.000 on that player, and you currently have $50.000 cash on hand. You are allowed to buy a player for up to $150.000, leaving you $100.000 in debt until you've actually sold your player. Note that his is only possible if there's a bid on your player that's on sale.
