Hello all,

I am NT. If you have any questions, plz feel free to ask me.

Btw, I have a few things to add to my election speech.

If I am elected, the first thing I'd do is to save the talents that are on about-to-go-bot teams (there are quite many >.<)

then I'd start the scouting job. I plan to recruit about 2 scouts. I have some candidates in mind. (I have worked with quite a number of quiet league II teams before and some managers are quite decent.) Then seeing that we only have 12 good 18 yo draftees this season, scouting 18yo with good starting skills but lower potential as well as good 19yo seems necessary.

Then there are the selection of rosters and negotiation with owners. (this negotiation is tiring from my experience) I would like to highlight that I personally value PA and FT very much. I really put forward training PA and FT as they really affect a game greatly.

Then before each match, I will study the opponent and discuss the tactics with my staff-mates. This is the key and usual work. (btw, the schedule for this season's tournament has come out. We have a good draw. We probably will be at least the second in Pool C. Taiwan is a real challenge though)

I promise I'll never play a game that only I know what tactics we are using.

And I warmly welcome all of you to watch the game live with us!

Then there'll be the usual game report after every match. But don't expect me to write as good as Ben plz. Other than game report, I'll keep everyone updated about U21 team too.

Lastly like what I said last time. I suggest there be a "Q&A" or "Find the solution here!" thread so everyone can ask questions. There are too many silent managers out there and the SGP community is not warm enough! This is sth that should be done no matter who becomes the manager.

That's all, thanks!

Regards,
Naughty Teacher

1) well, as everyone know that we are hosting this season, I can't promise there will be a cup glory, but all I can is to try my best, and bring u21 as far as "we" could.
Few things that I can do: *I'm not only looking at now, my vision is to go more further, when ben is back, there will be fine group PF youth for him to pick on.*
A) I'm always a trainer for guards, I will form a team of adviser on training to guide team with their training of youth players.
B) with right training method, the growth of player would be fast, salary is a very important issue as well, if the player salary rise too fast, clubs won't be holding them for too long this would disrupt the growth. So I would advice team to concentrate on few main pri and secondary skills for their player. Different team will have different training method, this is to make sure u21 will have different kind of player to select on.
C) preparing this recent draft player with those different training of skill, will lead to another level of play, which will take 2-3 season of training.

2) Yes, as now everyone should know, more teams are turning bot, this mean Singapore will have smaller pool of trainer, therefore like what I said on quesion1 point b, we can't afford freedom training, we need some special training for players. But there will still be a mixture training for team who don't wish to have those kind of selected training. We would contact manager who will been commited in training of players, of course, before doing all this things, I will consult our team of management for advise, once we confirm, we will start talking each of the manager.

3) im please with what are in the current pool for u21 that ben have produce. Though like what I said earlier, I can't promise cup glory, but I believe a good manager need to have vision. The rest of the development I have already state on top, if I say it again over here, people will say I'm naggy, haha.

4) sorry for bad English, but what do u mean by that? Haha.

Lastly, if I miss out any question, do let me know, haha. Thanks.

Hmm, let me try explain this, sorry if it's blur.
For guards example: As everyone know, there are PG and SG, But well, due to small pool of player singapore, we to arrange it properly. For example of what i feel, a NT should have at least, 2PG, 2SG, 2G.

PG - They are really train to do what Point Guards usually does.
SG - They are really train to do what Shooting Guards usually does.
G - This is something special, it's more on like, he has balance style.
*If people who really play basketball, they should know those player roles.* Sorry for me being selfish by not saying something more, as for now is election, i suppose there are people from other country is looking at other country forum and team. haha
So it's like, we would discuss with those player manager, check on their player skills, and arrange by hoping to get everyone to do each of our part by producing certain type of player. So on different guards, they have their own pri and secondary of training to concentrate on.

Increasing number of user is hard though, as alot more team are going to turn bot soon. We are not allow to have more than 1 account. So the only way for us to promote buzzerbeater singapore, my suggestion is, we can create a FB page, gather all player in the FB. Since there are alot of people playing FB, why not make use of it to promote buzzerbeater to friends. Well It's easy to say but hard to be done, so this is just my suggestion. i'm glad if there are more better suggestion being suggested by fellow mates.

Ya, for what i know, there are only one isetan, which is Isetam scott, but about the event, i'm unclear about. Haha, i though that is a question about buzzerbeater.

Why do you feel that being a U21 manager is different from being a normal manager?

I think that being an U21 manager does and should not only care about result, or a better word, the short term match result. For the match itself, I believe every manager who has been in this game long enough should be able to handle it after some time. The biggest difference is that you have, in SGP's case, 70-80 players in your hands. They are always there and you can't sell or buy players at your own will. You can only shape them. And you need to closely supervise not only the 21yos, but also the 18yo-20yo. You need to envisage what the U21 will be like in the future and what you want it to be like. Then you give specific advice to the owners. In previous seasons, e.g. the now 22yo group, we have 6-7 decent big men and outside players respectively. We even have 3 good SF. So this allows us much flexibility in terms of training guidance and also roster selection and tactics, e.g. center A may have better inside skills while center B may lean towards more a PF and has higher JS and DR.

This season, and maybe next season as well, we have less quality draftees. This magnifies another problem. If I just manage my own team, then of course I do all the training myself and there is little to worry. But dealing with a bunch of unknown managers is another thing. Some are not cooperative. Some barely know the game. Some hardly replies, leaving you a lot of guessing work. A lot of this work is like dealing with students. I have much experience in real life as well as in my past scouting job. This season we can't risk losing even 1 good trainee. The importance of scouting will be even more important and I am confident I can do a good job.

I think you are talking about creating some combo guards. This is nice. I do agree that combo guard / forward are very useful in this game. My Slovakia U21 guy is actually a combo forward and shoots 2 3-pointers every game. But there is a practical concern for us. I'm not sure there are even 6 good guard prospects this year and their starting skills may not be favourable. I think it may be better if we assign 2-3 players for every position and train them specifically for that position when they are 18 and 19. Then depending on how they grow we moderate our training plans when they approach 21.
