Comment on each Team
ACT Blaze from the famous III.12 the second toughest division III they have done brilliantly in division II but have now been cruelly struck down with a long injury to their best player. They say they will now be looking at just surviving this season in 6th or 7th.
Baby Bombers a teriffic 2-0 start has them at the top of the Big 8 meaning their next game which is against the Seagulls will leave only one team undefeated in the Big 8. It was funny that after two seasons in IV.14 they then had 6 seasons stuck in III.14. They have one of the smallest arenas I have ever seen in division II (Total Capacity : 8645 ) and this will put a very tight salary cap on their team until something is done about it.
Chelsea Seagulls relegated from the ABBL after a season of deleberate tanking to make money and do training I wasn't so happy with my $1,000,000 draft pick turning out rather badly. Organiser of the Fishbowl PL and manager of the India U21 team I have rather a lot to do here. I like training players, the color green and swimming in the ocean.
Chirny Lakers had a rough start to their BB journey, after five seasons they were back in division IV. Since then their fortunes have changed including a top 32 in the cup and last season the division III championship where in game three of the finals they were 10 down at the start of the 4th, what a time to have the best quarter of the season! They have Bill Corser (18085653) a HoF SF draft pick that I would kill to have drafted this season but he does look a bit behind in his training.
Doncaster Flames one of the greatest teams of all time they spent an amazing 12 seasons in the ABBL before apparently recently flirting with bankruptcy. It looks like they are taking the season to try and rebuild their coffers but watch out, 12 seasons in the ABBL means one of the best and most experienced managers around.
Flow Gaming has already revealed their cards. They are tanking, training and hoping for a $1,000,000 draft pick so they can bounce right back. That sightless blank face is a little scary as will be their bank balance at the end of a season of paying no salaries.
Henley Beach Hawks in a game where most are changing their team constantly the Hawks are an abberation. Sold one player ever. Bought a total of four players. Almost everyone on their entire team was trained from a raw 18 or 19 year old rookie, but they probably lack the big guns to match it with the powers of this league unless they make another dip into the TL and come out with another impact player to join U21 star Nghiem Nguyên. They have one of the largest arenas I have ever seen for a promoting team (Total Capacity : 18000 ) I guess instead of buying players they had to spend their money on something.
karmar a very widely respected team that backs down from no-one it seems that their manager has been very busy in the last two seasons so the team has suffered a little bit. It wouldn't take much to get them back to the top but they are just as likely to be hanging around the bottom if the interest isn't there.
