I'm having the impression it's a little off these days.
I've been on the market for a few weeks, looking for a 20k salary PG or SG to train (max 21 yrs, minimum potential perennial allstar), so I think I have a clear idea of the average price.
The (sad) truth is that, while in past seasons I managed to find such players in the 800k-1000k range, now the average price is definitely higher than 1200k, and frequently in the 1500k range. I think the market value for young guards has definitely increased, maybe because I'm seeing fewer free agents lately.
Back to the topic: I have one such prospect in my roster, a decently balanced 33k SG, 21 yrs old. TPE for him is 650k - 1000k (9 recent transfers), which is impossibly low based on what I've seen lately.
I also have a 55k, 23 yrs old SG ready to be sold, whose TPE is 1000k-1050k (6 recent transfers). Based on my experience, I would expect to sell him for at least 1500k -- I've actually sold a worse SG, older age and less potential and skills, for 1450k 4 months ago -- unless prices have dropped recently (which, again, doesn't seem the case).
So, what do you think? Have prices increased or decreased in the market recently?
