Welcome to Season 19! Congrats to Slam! for making his way up and welcome to all this season's new comers except Yoda.. Only Joking mate, glad to have you down here to help cause some mischief :D

Good luck boys, I will make the early call and say so far Screaming Eagles has made some good moves on the red but I do expect Yoda to want to make his seagulls fly back up to the big league, not to forget the Titans to seek who will want revenge for a horrifying end to his dominant S18.

Look forward to some more banter this time round :)

Having been injured out of the semi-final, Udi is all fired up for this season...even if yoda does creep him out a little bit!

It should be a good season with a lot to wonder about:

Will Yoda be able to promote back up this season?
Do the Titans have in enough gas left in the tank to take another stab at promotion this season?
What is Lazio going to do with his 7 million dollars (Probably more)?
Will the Eagles and the Infections progress as far into the cup as they did last season?
Will there actually be any good players in the draft this season?
How will the newly promoted teams cope in this division?

So many intriguing questions!

Good luck everyone!

Unless you add a couple more players Naker I think you could have some problem managing minutes.. :)

Fair call, you aren't going to pick yourself up a few young guns to train?

@microlol - You have landed on the wrong side of II.4 unfortunately, the red only had one promotee yourself as 6th and 7th on the red destroyed their opponents in their relegation series.. You never know though, more than likely at least 1 team will tank.. :)

I've given up training, it takes so damn long to get a pop haha. I prefer buying them once someone else finishes training them up :P

An interesting first round.

Great 8

Naker was "upset" by the Immortals who have picked up a player so old he should be on Naker's team. Naker do you really think you can play your guys three games at 48+ each and maintain game shape? I think you need to "rent" some scrubs for the cup.

The Titans start their new campaign with a massive win over the dangerous Screaming Eagles.

Lazio@ who just recently made a ridiculous $7,000,000 selling a bunch of $20k trainees had enough to get an easy win without them, with millions in the bank and with their best player fouling out in just 13 minutes.

Flow Gaming wth the scary blank face were able to get their first win in the second best game of the round at the expense of ACT Blaze so need to be treated with respect.

Big 8

Doncaster flames and Henley Beach Hawks both tanked their first game probably looking to win their second and the cup which was great news for Many Men and me.

I really don't know enough about Chirny Lakers and Baby Bombers at the moment to say anything intelligent about their match. Well done BB for the win.

In the match of the round the top two Big 8 teams left from last season went head to head in what was a thriller that went to OT. In the end the Home Team the Victorian Allstars got home which is good news for them, but the West Island Tigers must be very upset losing to their rival, in overtime, in a week when they have three human opponents. They must be wondering how they lost seeing as they had a two point lead and were at the free throw line with one second to go.

4 0:01 92 — 90 Free throw missed by I. Mandić (A).
4 0:01 92 — 90 E. Mpampiniotis (H) grabs the defensive rebound.
4 0:00 92 — 92 S. Olle (H) attempts a baseline jumper, guarded closely by W. Thomson (A). Scored.
4 0:00 92 — 92 A buzzerbeater for S. Olle (H)!
4 0:00 92 — 92 End of period.

A devastating way to start the season.

It was incredibly expensive for me, I will see how I go with cup but I may be jumping on the tanking train this season, Flow injured my best player at the 7 minute mark for 4 weeks!!! Funnily enough I feel Tigers pain, my game should have gone to OT, my foul machine got his 6th with 0:00 in the game, 2 free throws and game over.. :(

Irwin Corcoran (10593036) Shooting Guard Injury! 4 weeks.
Weekly salary: $ 74 711
Age: 28
Height: 6'3" / 190 cm
Potential: MVP
Game Shape: respectable

That is really bad luck. Looking at your roster you still have enough to steal the occasional win here or there but you do have a hard decision about what to do. Do you keep Irwin who will not only be out four weeks but will be in such horrible game shape that when he comes back that he will probably be useless for another two or three weeks, that is half a season, or do you cut your losses, sell now and get at least something for him that can actually help you now?

Trust me I know this situation, it is a long story but season 12 I had put all of my money into one superstar player and he spent the whole season injured and out of shape. Likewise in season 16 I think four of my five starters went down for extended periods of time. It is part of the game, how you react to these disasters is critical.

You do realise you can't stop the flow don't you?

Flow is the mental state of operation in which a person in an activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and success in the process of the activity. Flow is completely focused motivation. It is a single-minded immersion and represents perhaps the ultimate in harnessing the emotions in the service of performing and learning.

You can't beat that!
