Training Program.
PG Hanson 21 6'0" Superstar
PG Thayer 18 6'3" Star
SF Meert 18 6'10" Star
PF Chestnut 19 6'10 Allstar
C Mark 21 7'0" Allstar
C Waugh 22 7'0" Star
These are the players on my 'Train List'. Right now I am doing 2 Position (SF/PF) One On One.
The focus is to improve Driving and Inside Scoring. While I do have 2 Players for outside scoring in
Morrissey and Martini (7/7 and 9/7 JS/JR) what I really want to do is set up an Offense where
any 5 of my players can Drive to the Basket for the Inside Score.
Forward 1v1 builds up everything I need for Offense: JS, DR, HN, IS have all popped so far.
I am going to train until all 6 Trainees have IS at 7 (Respectable) which at the moment means I need
2 Players to step up (Chestnut +1, Waugh +4).
Some players are over this limit, and my hope is 1-2 of them can hit 10 on IS by the time Waugh hits my mark.
They can still also improve on JS, DR, HN while this happens, so I see it as a positive training plan.
Once all 6 Players have IS of 7+, I will move to One Position Training for Guards. Thayer, Hanson and Meert
will be the focus there.
The focus then will be Passing/Handling. I may still 2 Position with PG/SG and slide the Big Guys into the PG/SG slots
during the Scrimmage each week. Passing/Handling across the board is a good thing, creating more good shots
and lowering the turnovers. The idea here will be to train until (SF) Inaki Meert gets Passing/Handling to 7. Whatever
the other players can get from the training will be a sweet bonus and improve the team overall.
With an improved Offense the next step will be Defense. I will the One Position Train my Guards (Thayer, Hanson, Meert)
until OD is 10 for each. What ever Random Pops will only help.
Then I will train ID. Here may be a problem, as I wish to train Meert both Outside and Inside. I will ID until all Post have reached OD 10. If I can 2 Position that will be great, I'll take the ID for Thayer/Hanson as well if I can.
