37,000 is a great amount of money to make per week.

Secondly you are in D.V...there is no reason not to scout. I've literally seen teams pick up the three best players in a draft in their last season of D.V then go on to have a dynasty because they got three 4k perennial allstar or higher potential players in one draft.

So scout...at the very worst you'll get one really good player. There's so many bots, inactives and people who flat out don't know what they are doing and it allows you to sweep up top notch talent even with a low draft pick.

You are going to promote and the average salary for a "good" team in div 4 is going to be 135k-160k (imo) so you will need to get better there. Secondly, defense is the most important statistic and it is cheap salary wise. I was 5th in my division until the playoffs and I'm going to win with the least points allowed. I also play ptb which is a faster offense (2 people have gone bot but they were higher salary than me).

If you want to know why he is beating you, my guess is that he has better GS management. You should have 11-12 players on your team for the best gs shape. Read a lot on the forums about how to manage it. It is the biggest factor in winning week to week and will allow a subpar team in salary to beat a much better one.

If your sg did that well, maybe try outside iso next game

Two reasons his players are playing better than you:

1) Gameshape management. He has more starters with 'strong' and 'proficient', where your three best gameshape guys are at 'strong' (one of those is a scrub). As people suggested, getting some other players to use in scrimmages is a good idea. Aim to get your starters 50-60 minutes per week.

2) He built up enthusiasm through the season by setting his game effort to "taking it easy". That higher enthusiasm gives his players a boost now when he uses the same effort setting relative to yours.

There is no best way to do things for your offense. You probably want an outside based SF and a PF who can make 3s semi-occaisionaly (probably taking 3-5 shots per game from 3) and probably having a C and PF who are good passers for big men.

Hence the (imo) I'm at 145, a lot of it is lower due to defense. My side of the league was considerably tougher than the other so I had to run a higher salary. Do what you gotta do to win your division, just offering some advice to the man to set some goals. good luck to you in div. 3 and congrats on beating a guy with half his salary
