Does my star rookie PG have U21 chances?

Peter Cox

Weekly salary: $ 5 082
Role: draws a paycheck
(BuzzerBeta)

DMI: 55200
Age: 18
Height: 6'3" / 190 cm
Potential: allstar
Game Shape: proficient
Jump Shot: respectable Jump Range: average
Outside Def.: average Handling: strong
Driving: respectable Passing: respectable
Inside Shot: inept Inside Def.: atrocious
Rebounding: average Shot Blocking: pitiful
Stamina: mediocre Free Throw: awful

Experience: atrocious

I am training PGs in passing right now, and when his gets to, say, 11 or 12, ill train OD. So, if I train him for this season, and the next two for the entire time, will he have a shot at making u21?

If he is healthy and you train him the entire time, then he may have a shot. But U21 will be his only chance. His allstar potential stops him from ever being good enough to make the National Team.

Check the Suggestions they are important

Email the U21 coach & ask them. They should at least tell you what they are looking for from that position, so that would help you in training him for the U21's.
Why the interest in having him in the U21's? Club before country ;)

Right is not a popularity contest!

Train OD all season for your best shot at making the team.

I can't understand that obsession with training OD the entire season.

Train OD with some PA mixed in the rest of the year would be my suggestion. Something like this.. If he does not get hurt much and you single position train him the next 2 seasons you have a chance.. Just keep him updated in the US database and you can also see what you are competeting against...

OD
OD
PA
OD
OD
PA
OD
OD

With dedicated one position training and a level 4 or higher trainer, I think any decent $3.5k trainee with allstar+ potential can make any U21 team. Staying healthy for the 3 seasons is a variable.

Really.
