Two players with identical skill sets are up for transfer -
Player A is 200,000
Player B is 250,000 - From my home country

Would it be beneficial to spend the extra money for the player from my country in order to boost Merchandise Sales?

This is a theoretical question and I couldnt find a thread about it,

Thank you.

depends on your plans, with the player.

if you like to keep him for 3+ seasons, it could be economical better to buy player B even when you had to spend your money early which could be missing for anoter benefical deal.(i count with around 1,5k extra merch. np odea if this is right in such low areas)

When the player is a trainee, the merch income would increase with skill so it could be useful earlier.

If the player planned only as backup, it could be taken a bit longer.

thanks for your answer, he would probably be my best player if I were to go this route... would that make the impact larger than 1,2k?

Having local players is always good for your merch. Actually the team with the higher merch is a team that has only local players, and his merch is well above the 200k+. For comparison last season i had 4 Cyprus NT players, and the max that i got it was 160k.

So if those players are identical, yes it worth the 50k more to spend...

stats should play a role, but i don't know how much ;) Which seems to be pretty important, is the salary(or maybe the fictional salary when you train the player), but even there i have few experience to give it the real value.

With the switch of my PF, who is a bit more keyplayer then my old one and from my country which raise my merch income around 15%.
