Due to popular demand in my BB-Mail inbox, I've decided to put together a rank list for the best Canadian 19 year olds. I haven't ranked 19 year olds in the past, and these rankings are very rough. With this in mind, I'll try to highlight some of the prospects that are currently looking good. It will be interesting to see how these lists get shaken up next season, when everyone turns 20.

To keep things simple, I'm going to just go with 15 guard types (PG, SG, SF), and 12 big man types (C, PF). I'll add that there are a few good 19 year olds that are still capable of taking either a SF or PF direction, and I just guessed a bit with which group I put them in.

Guard Rankings (PG, SG, Guard-type SFs)

1. Gerry Stavridis; (14641174)
2. Diant Stronks; (14640552)
3. Nadav Srour; (14641806)
4. Thomas Simmons; (14641072)
5. Dwain Hadley; (14640977)
6. Lucio Marchi; (14641614)
7. Davis Mercado; (14642202)
8. Tommy Brown; (14640779)
9. Gérard Bérubé; (14642258)
10. Christopher Kumar; (14640708)
11.* Taylor Cutler; (14640994)
12. Antoine Robichaud; (14641705)
13. Junior Otis; (14642618)
14. Ajaikumar Sharma; (14642168)
15. Elmo Morina; (14642434)
16. Roberto Menichetti; (14640960)

C/PF Rankings

1. William Rivas; (14641556)
2. Scott Fitzpatrick; (14641357)
3. Thomas Biron; (14640590)
4. Norm Comartin; (14640812)
5. Eric Harden; (14641691)
6. Isaac Masicotte; (14641292)
7. Robert Blake; (14642071)
8. Giuseppe Lovato; (14641084)
9. Jonathan Gagnon; (14641274)
10. Paweł Niestępski; (14642615)
11. Martin Blackburn; (14642115)
12. Thomas Lacroix; (14642648)

Random Notes
*- Indicates player was discovered and added after the season started
- Highest skill count: Gerry Stavridis
- William Rivas has been auto trained at C by an inactive manager for about a month
- This group of players looks great so far; keep up the good training :)

Awesome. A couple of good managers training some of the guards (Stavridis especially) so I expect good competition for those spots. Hopefully Stronks and Hadley can make an impact :)

Yeahh!! One of my trainee's has finally been mentioned by the NT/U21 organization! First time ever, If usually sell my top trainee's by now. I only Antoine had Superstar plus potential right now, he would be at the top.

I don't know about Thomas Biron being ranked 3rd - it must be a really weak group. I drafted him last year (sold immediately) and his secondary skills are absolutely atrocious (literally). He was up for sale recently and it didn't look his current manager had trained him much in the interim. Look for him to drop.

I have Tino in the top 20-25 right now, for PG/SG/SF, looking at things fairly generally. His training has been good, though, and he has plenty of time left to move up the charts over the next couple of seasons.

Yes, I've effectively drafted 3 players that were fit/prospect for U21.

I actually drafted Thomas Simmons last season but unfortunately I had to let him go cause he didn't fit into my training schdule for my PF (which is 20yr old now and candidate for team XD). Simmon's stats were amazing for a rookie.

and I can't believe Lovato made it to rough rankings too! I feel proud to be canadian! Don't ask me why I feel this way, but I just do right now! XD

Ya I have Thomas Simmons training with my 2 other 20 year olds. He's gonna be playing SF in the future for Canada if I have anything to say about it :) For 1 million I think he was a steal and he's in Canada and will one day play for Canada. You should be proud!

nope, I drafted Ijsbrand Walschap when he was 19, so I couldn't really get him trained up in time. But he did fit exactly with Wilbur's training plan (free C came with PF training =P). By the way, don't you think Walschap looks sad, sad that he couldn't make the team =(
