We just have absolutely no luck in these Asian qualifying games. Last time around in Season 11, we lost 3 games by 11 points or less. And this season has started off the exact same way, with a 4 point loss to Malaysia, 111-107. Here's the link to the box score:
(11247)Despite us TIEing and them Normalling, and with them a much much better team salary-wise, we led the whole game until 3 minutes to go. We went cold on offense, but still Len Stevens had a 3 to tie it with 1 second left, which missed, game over. Highlights for us: Clitheroe led the team with 22 points in his NT debut, Stevens had 14 points and 7 assists in his NT debut, and Bedenham pulled down 18 rebounds.
Highly annoying, but not a death sentence yet. I think we can still go 3-3. The next 3 games (India, Hanguk, Kazakhstan) are winnable, which is why I TIE'd. I didn't think we'd stay that close, but maybe this home court advantage is better than I thought! Keep up the training!
