If like i read somewhere the player's size has no effect on his chance to get a rebound. how come i see players with an an awfull "rebounding" stat(even one of my guys) get huge rebound numbers?

because the guy your is rebounding against have pitiful or an atrociuos skill at rebounds.

Added to that, it's a game of probability. There is sometimes a large gap between theoretical probability and real life scenarios.
