I was wondering at what rate do players age? Like, is it after every season that every player gains a year?

So if I purchased a 19 year old this week, would he be 20 at the start of next season?

And if the above question rings true, i'm also a new manager who just came in during the playoffs, so does that mean my 18 year olds will already be 19 by the next season?
