Hello, I was wondering if anyone else has seen this phenomena, or knows of why it is happening to my team.

Last season, this player http://www.buzzerbeater.com/player/9057857/overview.aspx went from a point guard into a small forward...I didn't know why, but I just adjusted and went and found a new PG.

Now here recently, this guy http://www.buzzerbeater.com/player/10600055/overview.aspx switched from shooting guard to a small forward.

Can anyone explain why this is happening?

You are probably training the players, and as you train them, their skills might become best suited to a different position. Basically the suggested position can change as you train.

The best position is just a suggestion. Based on a player's skills and any other factors, the game engine offers you a suggestion of where it thinks the player would play best. But that does not mean he must play at that position. You are free to play your players wherever you want.

All right, I suppose that makes sense. But are those players now considered forwards when it comes to future training? Or are they still guards as they started out? I'm guessing forwards, but would like to verify that.

The position listed is only a suggestion. It isn't used for training. If you choose to train forwards, then only players that play in the forwards position during the game will receive training. Please read the Guide + FAQ at the top of this forum. It will help you out a lot.

As with your lineups, you are free to train them in whatever you want to train them in. Best Position is merely a suggestion by the game engine. Those players of yours are whatever you want them to be. Guards or Forwards. You should only feel obligated to play them as forwards if you want to train them in inside skills, and as guards if you want to train them in guard skills. It's entirely up to you.

Ignore the stated positions and just look at their skill set. You're the manager, they'll play however you want them to.
