Per my understanding, shorter player can train guard skills faster, taller player can train big man skills faster. Then what about SF? What height is best fit for SF? How to train SF faster?

If everybody looks for the 175~193cm & 211~229cm players, who would choose 196cm~208cm players?

I'm guessing not alot of people build small forwards, as opposed to just adding a 3rd guard or big man in that slot. But if you get an oversized guard or undersized center in the draft, they'll train their weaker skills faster and end up balanced.

i would go for 1.90 - 1.98 as optimum size, because you had to train more "outside" skills.

but it also depends on the target(inside/outside SF?), and very much about the starting skills who play a much bigger role in my eyes then on other positions,

well im currently training a SF and his height is 6'5 (196 cm). He has popped like 8 times this season so i think around 6'4 and 6'6 would make ur SF very balanced. It depends on what SF you want outside or inside or maybe both. i would say 6'4 to 6'6 is ideal.

well, first of all, you must decide what kind of SF you want to grow. If you need an outside oriented, I think he must be around 6'1''- 6'5'', and an inside oriented---6'5'''-6'9''.but this is just my humble opinion:)

I am training 19 y/o SF prospect 6'5 as a big man. I had only 2 pop ups this season and it was both in last week. To be honest i got 1 week to train him JS and 1 OD, but still my 23 y/o 6'11 player poped 4 times already

If i define him as inside SF, why don't i choose taller player like what i said 211~229cm for better training result?

If i define him as outside SF, why don't i choose shorter player like what i said 175~193cm for better training result?

I am just getting confused why 190~198cm would be a good choice for SF, will medium size player train faster in certain skills (e.g. jump shot, jump range, driving, outside defense)?

because they still need "all" Skills, a inside SF still needs a lot of Ooutside Defence, Passing and shooting abilities(maybe in this order), a outside SF still need inside Defence, Rebounding and a bit inside Shot.

You could vary your player on offensiv Focus, which mainly change Inside Shot and Jumprange contribution(+ maybe a bit more passing/handling for the inside man) - but on defense you need to do everything.

nothing goes faster, but the handicap is overall not that bad like with the extreme tall or small players so that in the end you will train a bit faster and you won't make extremly frustrating training weeks like outside defence for a 2.20+ guy.

But as i said it depend much on starting skills, i got two pretty Small SF who startet with very good inside Skills and just solid Guards skills - so i don't have to train the inside things so much(i mainly focus on ID and Reb), but i thing such things work better with Small guys because you need more outside Skills and you sometimes get a free ID up through Od training.
