I'm playing this game from around 7 months and I finally saw a player with this potential.

Yeah. It looks good, but it's not going to make much of a difference now. The player is way past training age so he might as well have bench warmer potential :P. But still, all time great looks better! If you win the lottery you can pick up a rookie with all-time great potential on the transfer list, or you can draft him (that's also a lottery :P)

There is NO lottery. Teams draft on reverse order of their league records at the end of the season. So if you have the worst record you're guaranteed 1st pick

I think by lottery he meant its complete luck as to whether an all time great is included in the potential draft picks for a league.

Yeah I know, I was just kidding. It's not a lottery in the NBA sense, but still all you know (in the best case scenario) is the player's age, skill and potential, and these last two can still vary a lot. So there is still some uncertainty about it, you'll agree

It doesn't affect anything because it doesn't exist. And of course that I'm joking :)

There was a discussion on that matter after last season draft, some players (including me :P) weren't too happy about drafting short PF's and C's or tall PG's. But from what I heard the draft structure is not going to be changed in the near future, so if your first pick is a C with 5 balls potential and 5 balls skill you better hope he's not 6'0 :P
